You have never personally spoken to anyone who lived through the Gulag, you have never read a Russian author, you would struggle to even name Russian dissidents without frantically googling them. In short, you have never taken the slightest effort to learn about Soviet Russia from people who actually experienced it.

When the Bolsheviks started ruling Russia much like the Czarists, the Liberals were the first to criticize them and call them hypocrites for their treatment of the working-class.
