Military NBC training is not the same as medical infection control practices. But you know that. I no longer go into grocery stores reason being to avoid filthy people as yourself.. Do you realize the oral cavity has more bacteria per cubic micrometer than the anus? If course not, it's why you continue to use and reuse that mask which is nastier than not changing your underwear for weeks on end.

Masks are now required in all public indoor places as of today in our city. Since the grocery store was the only public indoor place I'd visit maskless, I will now order my groceries for pickup. That's common sense and reduces the likelihood of cross contamination .
Wearing masks that are not fresh is more of a source of cross contamination than not wearing one. That's not using common sense.
The protocol I posted for hand washing and wearing gloves to prevent cross contamination is also common sense. Very few people follow that protocol.

Anti social distancing is using common sense. So just wearing a dirty mask and not using common sense is pointless.

Even an old mask mishandled would have much less chance of cross contamination than not wearing one. If you rub the outside of the mask against your face, it is still better than having the original contamination on your face without a mask.

There was no link to your source. Disagreed on your conclusion since that's not what it says. It's simply pointing out that the scientific method is methodical. That's the entire point of science; to form and test hypotheses. To be valid, they need to be replicable by anyone doing the same testing.

Common Sense is more psychological. It's "gut instinct". People should trust their "gut" since, like a muscle, the more a person uses it the better and stronger it will be. Unlike science, a person can't pass on their "gut instinct" AKA "common sense" to others.

None needed. There is no such thing as a 'scientific method'. Science isn't a 'method' or a 'procedure'. Science is a set of falsifiable theories. The only hypothesis science uses if the null hypothesis. It does not use supporting evidence. It only uses conflicting evidence.
