About a week ago I heard his name mentioned. Any talk about deep learning being implemented in linguistics will almost always bring up Chomsky. He is huge with people from Google. To an software engineer, his words on politics always bears noting, because he is so good at linguistics. We do not all agree with him, but it is hard to ignore him.

It literally is like we have Einstein walking around talking politics. You may not agree with Einstein's political positions, but you really have to listen to him.

Chomsky's universal grammar silliness notwithstanding I like his anti-interventionist foreign policy.
    Otherwise he offers not much

Meanwhile, trump's casinos went bankrupt, and his airline was a joke. he certainly has never done anything that moved research forward.
how long did it take you to google that Cliff?

Noam is right. DT is wrong.
This tragedy of a "Trump presidency" (which is really an oxymoron) should be a wake up call about all of the USA's broken, corrupt and antiquated systems that got us here.

A Modest Proposal For Separating Blue States From Red

    Dear Red-State Trump Voter,
Let’s face it, guys: We’re done.

It is a tragedy that so much of the work that so many men and women toiled at for so long to make this a better country, and a better world, has been thrown away, leaving us all in such needless peril.

This is why our separation in all but name is necessary.

Bigotry. Semantics fallacy. I ignore the idiot. I am also a software engineer, among other things.

Chomsky worship. The guy is not Einstein. Einstein's politics have nothing to do with Chomsky's politics.

You are not the 'elite'. From what I can tell from your posts, you're just some schmuck from Google that worships the ground on which a twit like Chomsky walks.

Chomsky, like you, makes vague accusations for some 'crime' that Trump has supposedly committed. Also, like you, he believes in the Church of Global Warming. You idiots cannot even define what 'global warming' or 'climate change' even means.

    Fundamentalism is not intelligence.

Presentism fallacy. If you don't like the Constitution or the idea of a republic, leave. Go live in Cuba or Argentina for a while and see how you like it.
