In biology, detritus is dead particulate organic material,
as distinguished from dissolved organic material.
Detritus typically includes the bodies or fragments
of bodies of dead organisms, and fecal material.
Detritus typically hosts communities of microorganisms
    that colonize and decompose it.

Marine snow is a shower of organic material falling from
upper waters to the deep ocean. ... Some flakes fall for
weeks before finally reaching the ocean floor. As plants
and animals near the surface of the ocean die and decay,
they fall toward the seafloor, just like leaves and decaying
material fall onto a forest floor.

    Thumbs up

    Substrate

Ground substance is an amorphous gel-like substance in the extracellular
space that contains all components of the extracellular matrix except
for fibrous materials such as collagen and elastin. Ground substance
is active in the development, movement, and proliferation of tissues,
    as well as their metabolism.

Calcium is an important determinant of water harness, and it also
functions as a pH stabilizer, because of its buffering qualities.
Calcium also gives water a better taste.

Light and darkness was found to have a significant effect on pHI,
with light values higher than dark values. At the irradiance used here,
the highest pHI values in light and darkness were found in S. pistillata
    ranging from pH 7.47 ± 0.04 to 7.30 ± 0.02 in the light, and 7.45 ± 0.03
    to 7.25 ± 0.07 in the dark.

    yeah we know.
    One arrogant answer deserves another.
    What took you so long.
If you wouldn’t of touched it in the first place you wouldn’t of had to fix it.
To make a long story short. If it’s not broke don’t fix it.

Fishing at the dock is so unethical.
    Yeah but I’m allowed.
Being that I’m a mature adult and not to mention well behaved.

Too much phosphorus can cause increased growth of algae and large aquatic plants, which can result in decreased levels of dissolved oxygen– a process called eutrophication. High levels of phosphorus can also lead to algae blooms that produce algal toxins which can be harmful to human and animal health..

What do you think I should do?

According to halakha (Jewish religious law), Shabbat is observed from a few minutes before sunset
on Friday evening until the appearance of three stars in the sky on Saturday night. Shabbat is ushered
in by lighting candles and reciting a blessing.

Where did you get the money to pay for that?
    Can I use your knife?
No you can not. You need your own.

    F. U. Kyke pooxxee. I walk in the Irish bar. I’m not Irish.
I like that bartender. She’s pretty cool. Hi Sara.

As I was fishing up the coast. I camped for four days at AI Maryland on the Delmarva.
It’s 20 pounds on 15 pound mono. Ocean front, Atlantic surf. I did a couple of days at
Avon beach in the Outer Banks. It’s next to Hatteras light. To many freight train sharks.
The water in May was 70 degrees. It felt like a bath tub.

Default I take multi day fishing trips to the North East Canyons.

I’m on the pier and from fifty feet away I yell.

    DON’T TOUCH THAT!

How come you never got a boat?
I don’t like what I’m seeing at the docs.

Gill rakers in fish are bony or cartilaginous processes that project from the branchial arch (gill arch)
and are involved with suspension feeding tiny prey. ... By preventing food particles from exiting the
spaces between the gill arches, they enable the retention of food particles in filter feeders.

I found out the hard way.
