NOTE: There has not been an effective private sector labor movement in this country since the National Labor Relations Act was amended by Taft-Hartley in 1947. The private sector labor movement in the U.S. was only effective from about 1934 until Taft-Hartley became law over President Truman’s veto; a period of thirteen or so years.

Taft-Hartley also took away union power that is inherent in secondary boycotts. For example: If union members working in an oil refinery go out on strike at the refinery, union members cannot picket gas stations selling that company’s product. That is a secondary boycott. Organized labor’s awesome power was effectively placed in the hands of a few union officials who play golf in the same country clubs with the executives of major corporations and high-ranking government officials.

Trump’s idea to bar secondary boycotts surely came from Taft-Hartley:

President Donald Trump wants to personally “get involved” in making advertiser boycotts illegal, he told the Daily Caller in an exclusive interview.

The N.Y. bum will never do a thing to diminish Madison Avenue’s revenues; and for all of his pissing and moaning about ‘fake news’:

Trump is an asshole who came from UN-Reality Television; so he will never eliminate TV’s advertising deduction. His game is pretending he is governing a free people with pep talks —— all the while he loads more TV tax dollars onto everyone else’s back.

Frankly, every president with a ounce of ethics in their souls should do everything in their power to diminish the power and influence of advertisers. When douche bag presidents give Big Tech advertisers more influence they lower the standard of living for every American except the Parasite Class.

Never forget:

. . . the differences between those rare individuals with marketing skills, and legions of salesmen whose only skill is selling 10 ponds of excrement in five pound sacks.

Bottom line: It is impossible to make ‘selling’ illegal because fools will always pay more than an item is worth.

On the other hand, if government officials enriching advertising parasites is not unethical I do not know what is.
