Of course respect matters but respect has to be earned through trust and honesty. It's why less people are respecting Trump. It's why liars, puppeteers and other assholes on this forum are given little to no respect; they certainly don't respect anyone else if they are constantly trying to decieve them.
OTOH, as I've asked about Trump; if a person is so delusional that they actually believe their own false statements are truth, are they really liars? No, not IMO. They are delusional. A person who lies knows it's a lie, a delusional personal believes it's the truth regardless if it's about their career or the Moon Landing.

It was moved because it didn't belong in the forum, obviously.

She always sounds off. I got the same accusations you got when I first showed up. I quickly dispelled that nonsense by bringing up Kidney stones. Back when I was on Amazon I had them and tended to talk too much about it thanks to healthy doses of Vicodin. After it was confirmed who I was it obviously meant I was called up. It was probably an accusation because that's what she'd do.

Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
