What have we heard from the right over the past 2 weeks? "Why is this going on so long? Why don't the peaceful protestors stop the rioters? We'll always support peaceful protests"....etc.
Don't NFL players who kneeled look a bit quaint now? They tried to get a dialogue going - to bring more attention to an issue which is on the minds of millions today. And they did it as peacefully as you can imagine.
Did Fox, Trump & talk radio try to consider what they were protesting about? Did they attempt to argue it on its merits? Nope. It was all "they're disrespecting the military!" and other strawmen. And why couldn't they find a quieter, less obtrusive and more polite way to protest, so they don't interfere with our enjoyment of a sporting event? (and a reminder here - they kneeled for 2 minutes at a time when most people are buying their hot dog & beer).
None of it looks so bad now, does it? As a nation, we ignored engaging that in a productive way. The logical result is what we're seeing. If we continue to ignore it, the next time around is likely to be an even more significant reaction.

Why not during the national anthem? You told them to do it at a more "polite" time. Most positive change in the history of America has come about from protest that made the status quo uncomfortable.
What they did, to me, celebrates the American spirit. I never understood the "disrespecting our military" argument. Our military fought for the right to express ourselves in whatever way we choose, and the right to express dissent. Oppressive countries are the ones who punish those who disrespect the "flag" or other symbols. We don't do that here - it's a pure expression of freedom.
So, no - I'm not a commie. I'm a pure capitalist, and love America, and celebrate its freedoms.

What you're doing here is absurd - holding one person responsible for the actions of others.
This is the same kind of irrational thinking which had us attacking Iraq after somebody else took out the Twin Towers. That irreparably upset the regional power balance; and got more people pointlessly killed than died in the Twin Towers. It also tacked trillions onto the debt and caused a huge problem for the VA healthcare system.
Pretty foolish.
