It's more that one doesn't have to have a formal/college education to be a successful entrepreneur or business person (most do but it's definitely not a requirement). Of course LeBron is able to leverage his name in athletics into the business world but many athletes have done that prior.

When you’re the best basketball player on the planet and famous world wide it can definitely open doors (along with the money he already has). But you still have to have a certain business acumen. I think he has surrounded himself with some smart friends who run his ventures with him (Maverick Cater being a big one).

He has a net worth of like $750M. Politically he’s a snowflake, but his business acumen and that is his net worth in his mid 30’s is pretty damn impressive.
