If the election were held tomorrow he would lose big, however, the election is five months off, and five months can be an eternity in politics. Five months ago Trump had beaten impeachment and was sitting on top of a good economy, and look where he is today. In the 24/7 infotainment news cycle it is next to impossible to predict future events

A lie doesn't become the truth, wrong doesn't become right, and evil doesn't become good just because it is accepted by a majority.

Yep, there are really that many dumb people in America who support the Pres.

regardless of what the future holds, you can bet he will try his best to control the news cycle, & his minions here doing same..
While not a fan of trump I have seen him literally control that news cycle for the last 5+ years & w/ very few exceptions. Like when the virus broke.
he struggled a lot but as the "American Media" grew bored it was back to trump overload 24/7......
he tweets, they print/broadcast & comment....... It's not just fox doing it...........
They played a YUGE role in getting him elected, he got more free press than any man on earth...........

"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."

Not true. Nixon went well over 60% and was approaching 70% by the time he resigned.

OK, Gardner, let's help you out and put that into context.
After having been re-elected in an electoral landslide only two years before, with 67 % approval, President Nixon resigned with a 24% approval rating. Oddly, the day he resigned, only 22% of Americans felt he should be impeached or be forced out of office, 66% still felt he should finish out his term.
What was Richard Nixon's approval rating immediately ...

All it takes is a sex scandal, tornado, terrorist attack, forest fire out of control, Gorilla on the loose, hurricane, or serial killer on the loose to control the news media.
You know- nasty, horrible, and dangerous things!
So this is no positive attribute for the Donald Trump.
Let's put it in a different context.
In todays polarizing political climate, Nixon would have survived impeachment. In yester years climate, tRump would have been forced to resign.
Please leave your Trump 2024 signs in your yard. That way, my dog will know where to take a dump.
