That is speculative, at best. I'd like to see the report, but I doubt it's anywhere complete yet.
Either there is clear evidence to press these charges, or they were leveled to calm an explosive situation. Take your pick.
Myself, I think he knew what he was doing and intended to inflict pain, but was too stupid to know he was killing him. He deserves 25 years minimum incarceration, the other three, 15 years minimum. JMHO.

Is this true of any death? For example, if the main cause of death (I'm making this up) is kidney failure and a second factor was congenital heart disease, how is the death listed?

Sounds good, but something else would have to be added when Chauvin was mentally torturing him by taunting him.
They had him pinned to the ground, calling for help, declaring he could not breathe and Chauvin TWICE told him sarcastically,
"Well get up!..........get up!" fully realizing that Floyd was not ABLE to do so. He responded , "I can't!......I can't!"

Well, supposedly, Floyd was a month or so out from COVID but I thought swab tests only caught active infections.

But the defense is going to be all over that toxicology smorgasbord. And yeah, it’s easy to see why cops have to restrain people at times. Floyd was probably out of his head.

A large man, out of his mind on drugs. I’ll wager they’ll frame it exactly like that.
