    Default Praising GW Bush

With the leadership vacuum currently in DC, we're seeing examples of real leadership from other sources - Atlanta's mayor, and now Bush, who issued an incredibly thoughtful statement on this, acknowledging systemic racism and calling for empathy and a shared commitment.

I was a strong opponent of the Iraq War, but I thought Bush's speech at ground zero was one of the best Presidential moments in my lifetime. Another was Obama spontaneously breaking into "Amazing Grace" during a church service. These men have heart & empathy, and they relate to people on a very human level.

Trump has none of that. He's a narcissist, and someone who has to fake empathy, if he even attempts it. There is no human connection w/ him. He states that he's an ally of peaceful protestors, but he has said publicly that he'd "fire" the NFL players who kneeled during the anthem. He acknowledges the injustice of what happened to Floyd, but has not coherently addressed the greater concern of unequal treatment under the law that has people filling our streets.

You can't lead when you lack those qualities. It's hard to imagine a worse President for these times.

Trump is no leader at all.

    He is no daisy.

Bush was a terrible president who spent trillions on wars of choice. He also helped the rich get a lot richer. But in personal life, he is not crazy and hateful like trump. Jeb married a Mexican woman. They are not bigots like most of the right is. He does feel for those abused by cops. Trump cares about nobody.
