Except the trust part. Thats suicide.
I perhaps should say some, as never is anything just all or none. There are always exceptions and thanks for bringing that up and correcting me, if I didn't say just some schools are not expressing the human element to policing.

But, I will argue the fact about trust. It's not about suicide. Let me give you an example right up front.

When these reckless idiots that started this shit handcuffed the man behind his back and shackled him at the feet, they needed to take him on down to headquarters and let the system deal with his arrest. It looked cold, calculated, mean, overplayed, excessive, and RACIST! That's what the people saw! We do not even treat animals that way in this country because there are laws that will put you in the pen for even treating animals in this manner.

Had nothing to do with officers risking suicide in any way. It had to do with an abuse of power!

Most cops do not train, If I had to guess, less than 10%
The thing about Martial Arts, is they teach you two things! They teach you how to kill with a single blow to a pressure point.

But inherently in the training, they also teach you how to have confidence just knowing you can kill someone if you have to, and how to use discretion and restraint if you don't!

It's kind of like the United States is capable of blowing up the rest of the world with nukes, doesn't mean we have to use them just to settle a trade dispute with a foreign country.

    This is not rocket science!

No. Independent Review Boards made up of local Citizens.
Sounds like a bad idea. Who would get picked to be on there? What power would they have? Who would get to review the review board?

Maybe we should have the same arrangement for rioters, since a lot of local AD's are letting them off scott free.

Keep in mind that teaching officers martial arts could make them MORE aggressive. These people are taught how to snap wrists, strangle people, break bones, etc. Not sure how that's better than what is taught now.

Not in a good dojo. Moral instruction is integral to advancement.

This is a myth, we call it "bullshido"

But inherently in the training, they also teach you how to have confidence just knowing you can kill someone if you have to, and how to use discretion and restraint if you don't!

IF your "Art" isn't sparring live at full speed it's bullshit.

The thing about jits, is if we taught chauvin that choke, he'd also be on the receiving end of it so he'd know how brutal it was.
