What I saw of the Video was the Police doing their Job. After the 5 minutes of jibber-jabber, the Police handcuffed the guy, checked his Identification, and released him.
The Police have a Job to do. You can cooperate with them in doing their Job, or you can be an asshole ... like the guy in the Video.

You generally check ID before you cuff someone, or you should. The cops were the ones being the assholes and this is why people are protesting.

No one is saying that, it’s the way they are questioned. This guy knew he’s rights, he knew what the cops were doing was wrong. It turned out they were wrong. He was within his rights.

I've had to go to the Internal Affairs and file a Complaint. I went to the District Attorney's Office and filed a Complaint. I went to the FBI and filed a Complaint. I took two polygraph tests. I went to Court.
This was over 'Police Brutality'. When you're in handcuffs, the Police are pretty brave. At the Courthouse, I approached one of the Cops and asked "Why don't you take the Uniform off and we go out front on the grass". He just smirked, chuckled, and walked off.
I've been at the receiving end of asshole Cops. They don't need to be on the Police Force. They need to be removed.
FYI, the Internal Affairs is a 'front'. It acts as a 'shield' to protect the Cops.
The District Attorney works hand-in-glove with the Police. Another 'shield' for the Police.
All the FBI does is collect info on what happened and has a Record of the Police behavior.

True, but OTOH, this is America. If a cop comes up to me and says "Show me your ID", my first reaction isn't to hand over my wallet. It's going to be asking "Why?"

Same for if the cops show up to my house and ask to look around inside. I'm going to ask "Why?", not just open the fucking door, kneel and say "Yessir".
