Strange how they relegate this thread to the back pages because they can't deal with facts!
I also love how they call people racist, and then use terms like WHITE Privilege, WHITE gulit!

Why? ... because it's not about the White Race as the Democrats who run these police unions claim?

Yep, the Democrats don't make it about police brutality. They make it about Race.

This is common knowledge. They can train anybody to be a uniformed thug- even colored folk.

However, it appears that civilian colored folk are being murdered by white thugs in uniform.

    Indeed and the salient part:

"This narrative is false. In reality, a randomly selected black man is overwhelmingly unlikely to be victim of police violence — and though white men experience such violence even less often, the disparity is consistent with the racial gap in violent crime, suggesting that the role of racial bias is small. The media’s acceptance of the false narrative poisons the relations between law enforcement and black communities throughout the country and results in violent protests that destroy property and sometimes even claim lives. Perhaps even more importantly, the narrative distracts from far more serious problems that black Americans face.

Let’s start with the question of fatal violence. Last year, according to the Washington Post’s tally, just 16 unarmed black men, out of a population of more than 20 million, were killed by the police. The year before, the number was 36. These figures are likely close to the number of black men struck by lightning in a given year, considering that happens to about 300 Americans annually and black men are 7 percent of the population. And they include cases where the shooting was justified, even if the person killed was unarmed.

Of course, police killings are not the result of a force of nature, and I’m not claiming these are morally equivalent. But the comparison illustrates that these killings are incredibly rare, and that it’s completely misleading to talk about an “epidemic” of them. You don’t hear people talk about an epidemic of lightning strikes and claim they are afraid to go outside because of it. Liberals often make the same comparison when they argue that it’s completely irrational to fear that you might become a victim of terrorism."

It's about police misconduct. It's about that dying mentality that they are in a "war".... the militarization of police was one of the worst mistakes made by democrats.

It doesn't matter, there is no excuse for police being violent on non violent alleged offenders.

    Fascists don't need excuses.

    That's what they believe anyway.

We see "ANTIFA" being fascists day in and day out, you are correct.

And that is illegal. Chauvin is being prosecuted. What other laws do you want passed?

The bad cops who stood around should also be charged.

I would like to see several things, thanks for asking, I'd like to see police trained in de-escalation techniques. I'd like to have a new ROE, where if some idiot that is known is selling loose cigarettes or passing a bad 20, is not given a beat down for it. I'd like to change the notion of budget policing where budgets are determined by arrest rates. I'd like to end the prison for profit pipeline as well as release all non-violent drug offenders and see their records expunged.

I'd like to have incentives for police to live in the areas they police. and more community based policing.

I'd like to see a further demilitarization of the police.

I would like to see police be required to even apply be a purple belt in a reputable jiu jitsu school and required training be maintained.

That would be a great start.

I'd like to see the 3 charged, too. As well as the bystanders who stood by 8 ft. away, and watched for 10 minutes.

I'd like to see the law against selling loose cigarettes in NYC abolished. I'd like to see suspects stop resisting arrest which is the main cause for most deaths.

Budgets determined by arrest rates? ... is that a Federal law?

Non violent drug offenders are a tiny fraction of those incarcerated. Would you like to legalize all drugs?

Deescalation training is already in place. Police are already trained in marital arts holds and techniques.

What incentive would you give police to live in those neighborhoods? Why not make it a job qualification? What about "Police Bars" where cops hang out in groups, drinking?
