If you constantly murder members of a particular community throughout the country and frequently get away with it, a particularly stinking case will inevitably provoke country-wide rioting, particularly when no attempt seems to be being made to deal with the matter (when the UK police were found to suffer from institutional racism there was at least some attempt to deal with it). Where the law is paralysed and discredited, people will often attack the local bosses, who often are shopkeepers, as people did in the 'Ton-y-pany riots' here way back when, when they destroyed every shop in the main street except a heavily barricaded jewellers and a shop belonging to a rugby international player. Again, where people are poor, they will inevitably loot, as the populace did in Dublin after hooting the Republican fighters after the 1916 Rising. Capitalism does produce these problems, together with the inevitable claim by the bosses that it is all a wicked plot by whoever they currently see as their enemy.

The first rioting was a middle aged white police officer who smashed windows. Most protests seem to have a lot of whites. Not a majority, but hardly the "sea of blacks" you claim.
