This guy was not a shop owner, so it really does not matter. For some reason, he decided to attack protesters with a machete. I think everyone is better off that it was not a gun. Had it been a gun, he would have killed many people, and would have probably died himself.

He was defending his life and his property. He was murdered by thugs who were looting.

1) He had no property in the area.
2) He was not murdered, or even dead.
3) No one threatened his life until he started going after people with a machete.
4) There wasn't much looting in the area, and almost no property damage.

You can see whites and blacks in the area, so why was he in particular being threatened? The only answer is because he was attacking people with a machete.

The guy is in his early 20's. The skyscrapers in that area cost many millions of dollars, and are owned by corporations. He does not own them. If he were some billionaire who owns skyscrapers, he would not be running around with a machete trying to defend them.
