Wrong again. One group wanted a reason to riot. They continued to loot and destroy, even after the cop was arrested. They are burning and looting in other cities across the country. They are not helping their cause by destroying private and public property.
The other wanted their jobs back, their businesses reopened and the economy to get back on track. Even with so many firearms present (and if you notice every one had their muzzles pointed down, which is the first lesson in firearm safety you're taught), not one bit of violence. In fact, there wasn't even a heavy police presence.
It's about time the police and their supervisors start policing themselves. This asshole cop had numerous complaints of misconduct, yet no one did a damn thing about it. Burning and looting cities isn't gonna help the problem. Hold those who knowingly allow this police misconduct to continue responsible, and keep the police union out of it. That would be a start.

I totally agree. However, they were also angry about the murder, even if they were using the murder as justification for looting.
Which is in no way comparable to what happened to George Floyd. The other wanted their jobs back, their businesses reopened and the economy to get back on track.
However? Angry about the cops using excessive force resulting in death is reason to be angry. It is by no means justification for burning and looting private and public property. Act responsible.
No, it isn't. One group of protesters wanted their lively hood back, were armed to the teeth, yet were nonviolent. The other group wanted the cop arrested, and he was. Yet they're still burning cities. Where's the justification?
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.
Who's doing the violence? Who isn't? And you say it isn't even one to one? Yes, there is anger there. Cops killing innocent people should be dealt with. Anyone killing innocent people should be dealt with. Burning buildings and looting stores isn't the way to accomplish that.
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

This will be very easy to stop.
Put a few well trained snipers in elevated positions around the city.
When you see a hyper privileged white kid with a mask and a back pack attempt to vandalize, put a well placed round right between the eyes. It will only take one or two for the others to realize that we ain't fucking around and to take their pussy asses home.
The only thing these cowards have is raw numbers.
But since none of them are trained in military tactics, they would have no way of knowing where the shot came from and self preservation would overwhelm their desire to destroy property.
Hell, it might even take killing four of them. I am good with that
Nothing wrong with progress and the increase of American citizen's rights. How do you define "progressivism"?
I do not see the Left as winning anything in the 00s; President Bush served his full 8 years. The US, in coordination with other nations, successfully neutralized al-Qaeda. Agreed both parties are becoming more authoritarian. They each seem to be competing to see whose authority will be imposed upon all Americans instead of seeing which side can provide the most freedoms.
