I know Trump thinks it's all about him, but it isn't. Trump as President is also a symptom of problems in the country, not a cause himself. Same goes for Floyd. His death triggered a lot of pent up emotions and public concerns. Trump and others can either throw gasoline on it or be smart enough to figure out what to do. So far it seems Trump favors the high octane solution.
I'm guessing, like Kent State 50 years ago this month, America will once again see its military shooting down protestors and several innocent bystanders. Let the fun begin!

Fifty years ago today, the Ohio National Guard fired on Kent State University students as they protested against the Vietnam War. Four students were killed. Nine were injured.
The incident on May 4, 1970, now known as the Kent State massacre, dramatically changed the nation...
...The shootings turned the tide of public opinion against the Vietnam War, and some political officials even argued that it played a role in the downfall of the Nixon administration. Today, the incident symbolizes the political and social divides brought on by the Vietnam War.
Meh, same sort of thing has gone on before.
Ferguson under Obama. LA nearly burnt to the ground after Rodney King. Doesn’t seem to matter who is president. Probably, because they are problems involving local governments.
This is a bit different because people are frustrated, generally, over the lockdowns so there’s a lot of pent-up emotion. I even read where Floyd had lost his job due the shutdown—so that’s an ironic twist.
Things will get back to normal. Blacks will go on killing blacks in places like Baltimore and Chicago and no one will seem to care one way or another.
Except the victims families. There’s no political hay in it, apparently.
Coup has started. First of many steps. Impeachment will follow ultimately~WB attorney Mark Zaid, January 2017
