“I disagree with the president’s decision,” Alexander said in a statement.

“Certainly there needs to be a good, hard look at mistakes the World Health Organization might have made in connection with coronavirus, but the time to do that is after the crisis has been dealt with, not in the middle of it,” he said.
"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."

Despite occasional meek objections, conservatives made a conscious decision to hitch their wagon to Trump, to take a bended knee and submit to him, to allow Trump to define modern conservatism.

    It's Trump's party now.

I would not be able to respect myself if I belonged to a party whose three most beloved politicians of the 21st century were George Dumbya Bush, Sarah Palin, and Donald Trumpf.

Fuck Alexander, he had a chance to do what was right and he didn’t. He owns Trump and the damage he is doing.
