In normal times we would ALL be shocked and appalled at the deplorable spectacle of an American president calling for the deaths of his citizens. But given the pandemic and #COVID45's utter lack of remorse or responsibility for his part in the unacceptable death toll, nothing is surprising any more.
    I call it the JPP-effect.

Just because JPP tolerates, hosts, and provides safe harbor for libel, racism, anti-semitism, islamophobia, misogyny does not mean other privately owned internet platforms have to follow that standard of conduct.

Rightwing posters usually forget that framework

TOTALLY agree with you. That is why I said that the peaceful protesters should be warned to leave now so that they are not mixed in with the rioters common thieves and looters. The riot needs to be put down,....when it is I have no problem with the peaceful protesters returning. People can protest theyre little asses off all they want,...nobody gives a shit really, who cares,...not me....as long as it is done in the correct and legal way.

The Minneapolis mayor criticized violent incidents.
"What we've seen over the past several hours and the past couple of nights in terms of looting is unacceptable," Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey told reporters. "Our communities cannot and will not tolerate it."
About 70 people were arrested Thursday in New York, said New York Police Department Detective Adam Navarro, as crowds gathered near Union Square to protest Floyd's death.

Think about if you're a leader, though - once you unleash the dogs, anything can happen. We've seen that too many times.

And using "dogs" figuratively. I have great respect for cops & the national guard - but those are very volatile situations, and particularly w/ Trump's tweet, it creates a very unpredictable situation.

Agreed. And they also forget that the first amendment grants absolutely NO rights. So this whining about violating their free speech right is just plain dumb. The only entities that are forbidden to infringe on speech are government entities. Private businesses have no such obligations.

Its called a " free fire zone" First,... you warn the people,...get out of here or you will be mixed in with the bad people,...if some choose to stay then they will be judged accordingly. Once that warning is given and enuff time has passed to allow people to leave,....ITS ON.

Funny, Some of the Trump supporters on here, like Legion & TeflonDon tend to censor out half the forum from their threads....

So Twitter digs back to an obscure reference , and then claims using that reference is racial??? LOL
I refuse to dignify your question with an answer!

You are asking the wrong questions!

This is not about Donald Trump- even though he sure would like to exploit the problem and use it to create further chaos for his selfish little political gain.

And so what do you do? YOU SUCK UP LIKE AN IDIOT SUCK UP TO DONALD TRUMP!

Trump said he couldn't not just watch the city be overwhelmed by the unrest over the death of George Floyd.

“I can’t stand back & watch this happen to a great American City, Minneapolis,” Trump tweeted. “A total lack of leadership. Either the very weak Radical Left Mayor, Jacob Frey, get his act together and bring the City under control, or I will send in the National Guard & get the job done right.

Critics on Twitter said Trump's comments had racial undertones and said the term "when the looting starts, the shooting starts" can be traced back to Miami Police Chief Walter Headley in 1967 as a threat to black protestors during the civil rights movement.

When asked for comment, Twitter pointed to a thread explaining the decision.

"This Tweet violates our policies regarding the glorification of violence based on the historical context of the last line, its connection to violence, and the risk it could inspire similar actions today," Twitter Comms wrote. "We've taken action in the interest of preventing others from being inspired to commit violent acts, but have kept the Tweet on Twitter because it is important that the public still be able to see the Tweet given its relevance to ongoing matters of public importance."

Funny, the city he stiffed paying for one of his gym rallies is now “a great American city”

Twitter is correct, we got a moment of tragedy and Trump finds the need to pimp it to launch personal attacks against individuals he doesn’t like for political ends, good for Twitter

Trump don’t give a rat’s ass about Minneapolis, nor censorship, he is just pissed cause someone is pointing out his lies and fabrications, and it is really annoying him because he relies on Twitter to deliver his orchestrated deceptions and deflections

It's legal for private citizens to thread ban far left loons like you.

Only the government, federal and state, can not ban free speech with only a few exceptions.

The left uses thread bans too.

    Exactly so.

Trumpelthinskin thinks that his executive order is going to somehow shut social media platforms down, or at least keep them from allowing him to spread hate, falsehoods, dissension, and unrest. He will find out that he has to operate under the same constitution as the rest of us.
