That's a no-brainer, nothing we stop me from voting this abomination out of office?!! Like the voters did in Wisconsin, I will be out there with my mask and six feet apart too?!! This is election has serious consequences for not voting?!!
The contours of Donald Trump‘s reelection strategy are coming into view.
It appears he’s trying to get as many people infected as possible in red states and swing states, so by November they will have herd immunity and can go vote.
He’s also promoting the idea that, if you are white and under 60, you really don’t have to worry so much about getting the virus or bothering with “sissy” things like wearing masks or social distancing, so even if you didn’t get sick, you can still safely go vote. Key to this strategy is for him to never be seen in public wearing a mask.
He’s counting on Democrats and other well informed voters to stay sheltered in place until November, and to continue believing that masks and social distancing are vital, so they will be reluctant to go out to the polling places in November.
This perfectly explains his outrage at swing state Governor Whitmer for sending out 7 million applications for absentee ballots: his strategy depends on people not being able to easily vote from home but having to physically go out and confront the virus.

Mail ballots are the way to go
ThatOwlWoman (05-28-2020)
No, if it ends up being like it's been or worse we figure out alternative ways of voting besides citizens swarming their county offices. We don't need to create a nationwide petri dish effect in these places. I'd say the minimum thing needed would be a no mask, no enter option. The clerks let a minimal amount of people in while maintaining distancing. Once all have left more of the same can enter. Anyone with health or age issues can get an absentee ballot.

Why does mail in vote scare them so much?

Standing in line is soo scary lol.

The frenzy by the (R)s -- and especially their panicking IMPOTUS -- over mail-in voting indicates how fearful they are of Americans exercising their right to vote. Those who want to go to in-person polls are still able to do so, but few probably will chose that option unless it's the only option, if the virus is still at high levels in August (primaries) and Nov. The illegal things that the Toadstool is ranting about (stopping vote-by-mail and shutting down social media platforms) are all signs that he is crumbling under pressure.
The silence of the Trumpanzees about those two unconstitutional things says a lot about what they really think of that document, eh?

No, it's not. We stood in line in our tiny little township hall to vote in the March primary. If we have to we'll do it again. Thankfully, because we live in an enlightened state, we don't have to. We sent our vote-by-mail apps in last week. They will automatically mail us our ballots in August and again in November.
The more you all rant against vote-by-mail, the more desperate and disenfranchise-y you look.

But it’s still using COVID as an excuse to dump a bunch of ballots in the mail with the hope Democrat voters who are too lazy to get off their asses and go vote, will check a few Democrats boxes and mail it in.
There by, increasing the chances of finally getting rid of the Bad Orange Man, finally.
They might fool some people but they aren’t fooling me. My problem with it is people who lack the motivation to go vote are almost certainly not engaged—or they would go vote, COVID or no COVID.
We need less low-information voters, not more of them.

I WILL though unless DESANTIS loses his MIND and really shuts down VBM, I've voted by mail since 2006. I have the ballot mailed, fill it out, sign the envelope, seal the envelope and it hand it to a PRECINCT official at our early voting location. (I even get a sticker). Don't want 20 years from now some stash of ENVELOPES with MY ballot found in landfill somewhere. Just saying...

All normal democracies use postal voting. Trumpf, of course, dates back before the post, probably before writing!
