He is removing their protection from law suits because they are editing. They have a CHOICE let content from everyone go without edits or edit and be responsible and liable in the case of a suit. They can't edit and then claim protection from suits.

It is legal to describe how to make a bomb. Indeed, I made 6 of them just last year...all of them legal. Instructions for making all kinds of explosive devices is all over the internet. The agencies don't care. They only care if you actually try to use one to cause an act of terrorism or other crime. I never used any of the bombs I made to commit any kind of crime. Three of them were used as instructional devices for a movie special effect, and the other three were used to entertain. All of them were completely safe, if handled and manufactured properly. Pretty much like any other weapon. Oh, I also own several swords and knives, and several guns...each used for a different purpose...none of them criminal.

Trump does not back violent actions. He is presidential by definition. He is the President of the United States. He does not have to conform to YOUR idea of 'presidential'. It is the Democrats that have made a meaner and nastier country, and that over many decades.

So you want the Government to regulate what type of speech private companies allow?

They already regulate what type of speech private companies allow. Nothing about Trumps executive order changes that. It does, however, remove any protections for sites that modify user's content or ban users for political reasons. Such sites can't hide behind $230 anymore. This forum is already in compliance.

Not by banning users for political reasons or for modifying or 'scarlet lettering' user content; no.

Nothing prevents a site owner from providing their own content. Effectively they are just another user on their own site at that point, posting their own opinion.
