No one ever accused conservatives of being too bright.

Was that you trying to be funny?
It was sarcasm. It certainly was not a lie in that for many years (including here on JPP) those who dislike the pro-gun crowd suggest those who love guns are compensating for having a small penis. Thus, they have an obsession with (the size of) male genitalia. I was attempting to show how ridiculous that viewpoint is.
If you have not seen this claim you are new to political debate. I first heard it during my college says in the 60's (when I was more susceptible to believing such crap as a way to denigrate those we disagree with politically). Now I try to speak out against any attempt that looks down on others.
I thought it was a sarcasm. But Poe's Law still applies. I've been to various political forums for years so this is nothing new. The claim is as old as the pyramids.
If your view is correct, then what is the primary reason for the "pro-gun crowd" to brag and show off their huge guns, trucks and those balls that hang under the back of their trucks?
Please, that is a huge stretch. You can take any hobby/sport and ask why people are proud of their bowling ball, golf clubs, automobiles, book, coin, or stamp collection, musical instrument, or anything else.
I do not have any view about these things that is correct, I just know enough to be skeptical of such explanations; especially if their aim is to denigrate others.
I'm sure you have also heard the old pop psychology claim that males who dislike gays are really latent homosexuals themselves. This is another frequently cited charge without any support. A study was actually done and concluded it was true until another researcher showed the original study was BS.
Do you have any evidence gun owners have a smaller than average penis? If not, then it is a silly claim. What about gun owners with a large penis? What is their reason for owning the gun? Maybe hunting, target practice......
Both of these claims are made by people who disagree politically with gun owners or anti-gay people and need a sleazy way to put them down. It is not unlike anti-Trump Democrats who have trouble accepting their loss by being able to criticize the winner.
For example, the description of Trump supporters was changed from whites without college degrees to "uneducated" and repeated many times on JPP. Our self-esteem is hurt when our "team" loses but it makes us feel better if we can say some bad things about the winner. An interesting study done with the movie Rocky IV illustrates this principle of social psychology.
I disagree with Trump supporters on almost everything, but I don't find it necessary to think I am better than them because we disagree politically. That has been one of the worst developments of today's hyper partisanship (group identity). I am very disappointed in today's liberals who pretend to care about others yet perpetuate hatred toward others.

I am kinda drunk at this point and someone is annoying me so I'll address that one now and address the rest later.
I know that claim. I've heard the claim many many many times.
I know some would think that way with some men who dislike gays, but basically the main thing is why do they keep talking about gays over and over and over again and how much they hate them? Why do they claim that they are pushing "gay agenda"?
