Default "Trump sees a ‘rigged election’ ahead"

"First he lit into Michigan and Nevada, threatening to withhold federal funding because of his assertion that both states were preparing to commit voter fraud through mail-in ballot applications. Then President Donald Trump followed up Sunday with two more broadly-worded warnings that November would be “the greatest Rigged Election in history.”

“The Democrats are trying to Rig the 2020 Election, plain and simple!” the president claimed."

"Trump’s rhetoric isn’t exactly new for him. As a primary candidate, he attributed his Iowa defeat to fraud committed by Sen. Ted Cruz. Even after his general election victory, Trump made unsubstantiated claims of “serious voter fraud in Virginia, New Hampshire and California” — three states that he failed to carry — and told congressional leaders that millions of illegal votes were the reason he lost the popular vote."

"In one of his first acts as president, Trump created an 11-member commission to study alleged voter fraud. Two years later, amid the GOP’s 2018 wipe-out, he was lodging complaints about “electoral corruption” in Arizona and “missing or forged” ballots in Florida."

    https://www.politico.com/news/2020/0...k-fears-274477

So is Trump "planting the seeds for delegitimizing the election if he loses? Setting the stage now by echoing that an election six months away is already rigged?"

As we have seen, it has always been part of the playbook, he even repeated the same claims prior to the 2016 election when he thought the Hollywood Access tape was going to be his downfall. So is this again an orchestrated move by Trump now to build support incase he goes down in November?

THere are many ppl here in denial about this........

They refused to answer the "what if" he doesn't leave........

A real man would take his licks & leave, but then this is trump.........

I have serious doubts he will accept defeat, he can't even handle questions from reporters.......

"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."

I pulled out my Trump-translation dictionary for this - the literal meaning is "I'm fairly sure I'm going to lose."

Lets say this..... POTUS is VERY skilled at what he does. You are always picking the wrong hills to die on because in your view its always charge CHARGE CHARGE,.....but you expose yourselves every time and when you get to the top there is nothing there...LOL Meanwhile because of all the time and ammo you have wasted he had all the time in the world to fortify a mountaintop fire base that would choke a horse!

    Hey,....its Memorial day!

Yep. It's what he did last time - when, like the rest of the country, he thought he'd lose.

There is no reason to hype an election this early as "rigged" otherwise. He's seen the polls.

Common knowledge dictates that barring a wipe out by Biden, trump is going to kick and scream all the way to January. If he allows the election to take place at all.
Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

Man, is "triggered" boring. It's played.

You get "triggered" more than just about anyone I see here, Stone. It's tough defending Trump all the time - I get it.
