Even supporters of the WHO should agree with me that both sides need to be able to present and defend thier case as to why thier number is right and the other is wrong. The wrong party should also be punished for giving out wrong facts.

0.26 and 3.4 are just too far apart to be simply errors.

0-49 years old: 0.05%
50-64 years old: 0.2%
65+ years old: 1.3%
Overall ages: 0.4%

I just thought I was pissed during the Russian hoax that almost nearly removed a duly elected president lol. But at least it had a Key Stone Cop element to it, so it was entertaining and didn’t effect the economy and people’s lives.

The WHO’s CYA will be ‘it’s typical to start out with a high mortality rate early in the game’ or some such.

There will be a political reckoning over this. The only question is what form it will take.

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least.

It’s at least kind of odd that Bill Gates would figure so prominently in this. But yeah, we were saying this all along—because that’s where the facts were leading: COVID has always been the biggest threat to nursing homes and people with [typically, several] comorbidities.

These people know who they are; they stay out of the way; or well, do things like set aside the first hours of the day [after the store has been cleaned] for ‘seniors only’. Stuff like that. Under no circumstances should schools have been closed or public parks, for crying out loud.

Nursing homes get totally locked down. And whatever you do, DO NOT sent COVID patients back to nursing homes. And this was obvious as far back as March.

But instead of a *fact-based* focused mitigation regime we had the ‘anti-focused’ mitigation regime. Schools were shut down across the country even though youngsters are, for all intents, immune to COVID.

Not literally or absolutely immune but statistically the seasonal flu is a bigger threat to that population. Children die from the flu every flu season—but it’s a local story—and it doesn’t call for all schools across the country to be closed.

They shut down elective procedures across the country. For what? I don’t see where that did a damn thing besides lead to a decrease in cancer diagnoses. I wonder why that is?

The whole country was going to become like north Italy. On and on. And yup, we knew it in March.
