Given Trump’s favorably numbers, approval numbers, direction of the country, and just about any other indicator you can come up with, plus the events of the last five months, seems Trump ought to come up with a better pitch than “trust me”
Only a fool would trust someone who has shown repeatedly that he cannot be trusted.
Like yeah, we should trust him to release his taxes?

And that's something he has total control over.
He has very little control over the economy.
Trust him, right.
Where is our big beautiful new health care system that everybody is going to love?
How many graduates of Trump University are out there becoming millionaires?
How many investors and contractors in his casinos ever got paid back?
Did we get the check from Mexico to pay for the wall yet?
How about his several wives? Do you think any of them could trust him?
The only thing you can trust him to do is to let you down.
