If we dont get a vaccine this bug will get to about 82% of us, it is just a question of exactly are going to be the 18% who dont get it....it makes no sense to be hyper vigilant about healthy kids, it is the one who are at risk of dying that you should be paying attention to.

    This aint rocket science.

The more people who get it,the more it spreads the more people die.

How many of you wore masks everywhere you went during the deadly H1N1 outbreak? How many of you wear masks during the yearly flu outbreaks that routinely kill tens of thousands of people each and every year?
The way I look at it, if people don't want to wear a mask, that's their business. They get sick with the virus, that's their problem and not mine.

If 82% of the people are going to get it and the young are very unlikely to have serious problems with it but the old and the not healthy do then there is a great moral argument to first making sure that those who are mostly likely to die dont get it.

This goes double when the health Care System is as close to collapse as ours is.

The system can not handle much, it is too weak.

Remember back in the 50's instead of ventilators they had oxygen tents. Unless you have trouble inhaling why wouldn't that work? No I'm not endorsing going back to the 50's medically.

    Yes.

Common courtesy like not sneezing on people or pissing in the parking lot.

Since you are a well-known liar and bullshitter, I suspect you'd rip a ventilator off an old woman to save your own fat ass.

Well as one who doesn't want to catch the virus I thank you. Don't be offended if I give you a wide berth when you are unmasked.

In broad daylight while waving at little old ladies leaving Walmart? Never. At closing time in the darkness outside a bar? More than I can count.

The only types of mask that can stop a virus are tight fitting N95 ones with activated charcoal filters. Washing hands frequently is far more effective. Over here everyone wears a mask but that's part of Asian culture these days since SARS and avian flu. The one measure that is definitely effective is checking everybody's temperature before you can go into a shop. Many people have their own temperature monitors to be on the safe side.
The issue is keeping the distance that the saliva particles can travel, to a minimum. It's not about 100% effectiveness. Any face covering will limit the distance, and absorb much of the moisture in a cough/sneeze.
Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right.
