OK, so the open churches thing is just the first step to gaining acceptance of resuming rallies.

Would be totally funny if they plan one and get rained out, ya know?

Right in the middle of it?

Right when he gets them all fired up?

To see that parade get rained out and scattered?

    Would be poetic justice.

Stalin and Mao were Fascist like you. You can call them Communists if you want, but their political philosophy and policies were Fascist.

YPSILANTI, Michigan/PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump, eager to get back on the road and make his case for re-election on Nov. 3, said on Thursday he may have to stage campaign rallies at outdoor sites until the coronavirus pandemic settles down enough for traditional events.

“We got to get back to the rallies,” Trump told reporters during a tour of a Ford auto plant in Ypsilanti, Michigan. "I think it's going to be sooner rather than later.”

With little more than five months left until the election, Trump is behind Democratic rival Joe Biden in national polls and in some battleground states, such as Michigan, which he won in 2016.

A senior campaign official said officials held a meeting last week and discussed how and when to resume the big campaign rallies that Trump craves.

“It’s clear, he’s chomping at the bit to resume the rallies,” the campaign official said.

The discussion was largely a brainstorming session with a lot of ideas raised, including having a rally that resembled a drive-in movie experience.

It's OUTDOORS numbnuts! Get over it.
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

IMHO if other outdoor activities & events are allowed how can you deny a rally??

Hopefully some of ya'll don't show up w/ a catapult & dead corona patients.... (as the Mongols did in Caffa on the black sea leading to the black plague being carried into Europe killing about 1/3 of the population)
"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."

Well we know the president is dead meat without the rallies. He's been campaigning since he took office, only stopped because of the virus that was "totally under control," and "would magically disappear."

And the polling is not going well, what with all the lies about this being nothing being exposed as the death totals mount.

So no doubt the priority will be placed on continuing the rallies, and the risk of causing ever more deaths will be ignored.

-Further demonstrating that the president is heartless and cares about no one but himself, and thus turning off uncommitted people who thought/hoped that he actually did care.

The problem the president has is that the people who strongly don't like him is a larger group than those who strongly do like him.

There are a significant number of his supporters who support him but don't like him. (which they justify by quickly pointing out that Hillary is worse.)

And that argument is stale, because this is 2020, not 2016, and Hillary is not running.

"continuing" OUTSIDE RALLIES - and inside rallies can be done with masks.
