Not sure what Trumpet is posting. I can rest assured though it is meaningless and trivial.

So, with the big spikes we're now seeing in FL, they're now saying that FL could be the new epicenter for COVID.

Meanwhile, NY - where Cuomo and "blue state governance" got so much criticism - has dropped dramatically and is now one of the lowest states in terms of spread.

Will anything be learned from this on the national level in terms of behaviors we should encourage and abide by? Likely not, but one can hope.

They didn't just jump the gun on this thread, they jumped the gun, mugged it, stole its wallet and stomped it into oblivion. Florida is now the epicenter of the crisis, and with the number of elderly in the state, it's a recipe for disaster. There is a lab that's doing rapid testing on employees and patrons of the jax beach bars. They say they've seen AT LEAST 50 positives. The beach area bars and restaurants will almost certainly have to shut down again.

I don't think they will shut down no matter how many die. The election is in 5 months. They will simply lie about cases and deaths.

It's pretty hard to lie about what happened at Jax Beach. I'm sure they'll try, but it will be hard to ignore the body bags.

They will and do it easily. Deaths are not important to this admin, or his followers..Until it is them. Lives are cheap to Trump. DeSantis is a Trump suckup.

The eight highest daily counts of new cases in Florida have occurred in the last eight days. I think that's a spike, no? The three highest daily counts of new cases in Duval County (Jacksonville) have occurred in the last three days. Again, I'm pretty sure they call that a spike. Great Job Governor DeSantis!! Thanks President Trump!!

we opened up about a month ago . incubation is 2 weeks. The average age is low 30's

Do you think this growing batch of young infected have all squat to do with opening up a month ago?

Fake media and left got it wrong. All those predictions of gloom and doom for Florida seniors, especially in
The Villages.....no epidemic there. Our Guv put seniors first to protect them as opposed to NY where they were offered up to be sacrificed. Now Mario 'Mengele' Cuomo blames the CDC guidelines.
People flocked here in droves to get out of the dark interior of their virus-breeding houses and out into the fresh air and sunshine.
All those "smart college educated" NE lefties couldn't figure that out...it was too simple.

But Patrick Manderfield, a spokesman for the state's health agency, said the ICU percentages are skewing deceptively low because new beds are being added, but not reflected in the data.
    ~~
they are still performing elective surgeries -they dont when beds get filled up or numbers get high.

Covid seems to have to go everywhere (is so infectuous) that nobody escapes exposure
the question is how deadly does it get, and we aren't anywhere near where NY was etc

The key there is “was,” today, under the Governor’s guidance, NY is gradually opening up by design with numbers dramatically decreasing, while Florida, with the Governor out to please Trump, opened up quickly and is now seeing dramatic increases in numbers

Cuomo is actually considering a quarantine for all travelers coming in from Florida, which would be a tough blow for the snowbirds and Canadians
