Harvard does not tell parents anything, nor does it have minimum SAT scores. You really have no understanding of how the system works. SAT tests are not a test you pass. The score is something that is considered, along with other things. It only becomes important if it is very high, or very low.

Legacy admissions are for the children of wealthy parents who give millions to universities for scholarships for children of poor parents.

The children of wealthy parents have to pass the same exams that everyone else has to pass. I saw more than a few legacy students flunk out at Vanderbilt.
