While many Americans have used their stimulus checks to cover basic needs such as groceries, mortgage or rent, there’s evidence people are also spending the money on non-essentials including electronics, clothes and toys, according to major retailers.

I hope these dumb-asses paid the rent/mortgage, and the price of food is really increasing too?!!

Not me, no siree! Just the necessities for me! That check, along with my tax return, is getting me a brandy new hot rodded gaming computer! Thank you President Trump!

Somehow both trump gives out the money, and all the bad from trump giving out the money is the Democrats fault?

We could say "darn you......" to every president (yep, even Clinton) in the last 100 years, couldn't we?

Not when the businesses are closed, demand is indicated to producers through consumer purchases, how are they going to factor demand when they can't open up shop to sell their widgets? Stores and shops where they are allowed to open are only being allowed to open at limited capacity.

And you don't understand that money is a representation of value and when you print it out of whole cloth to cut checks unearned by labor which is what the treasury did to fund this stimulus bill it loses value, that's called inflation you stupid fuck.

Ya no inflation is a one way street pal which when added with decades of stagnant wages thanks to outsourcing to China and the importation of illegal scab labor is why my generation has to work two full time jobs and still can't afford to purchase homes.

$60 at $2.60/gallon, would be 23 gallons. That is a huge tank for a sports car.

I was burning fumes when I got to the gas station, It has a 22 gal. tank. I put in $58, $2 shy of $60. I just rounded it up.
But yes, it's a larger tank than in most, it takes up half the trunk and the trunk is quite small.
