I'm not sure how anyone can still believe with any sincerity that Trump really cares about people.
He's a classic narcissist, and he reinforces that with everything he says. Trump cares about Trump, and only Trump.

It should be pretty damn self evident. What's better FOR THE COUNTRY? A 3.6% unemployment rate, or a 15-25% unemployment rate where the guy who changes your oil at jiffy lube is making $2400 over and above the normal rate for unemployment benefits, PLUS that normal rate per month? Why do you suppose that Republicans and Trump oppose extending this unemployment benefit?
There's your answer Right up thereMaybe instead of trolling me you should make some attempt, however lame, to answer that question. After all, that's the topic of the thread.
You're not terribly wrong...there's a whole shitload of people who think like you thoughIt isn't about me.

"Do not think that I came to bring peace... I did not come to bring peace, but a sword." - Matthew 10:34
This is actually ruininig the PPP program.
Business owners cannot get thier employees back because they are paid more to stay unemployed which means from a forgivable loan if you use 75% to pay your workers it is now a loan you have to pay for.
And no it is not an option for the businesses to simply pay the workers more. They already needed a loan just to survive and that loan only covers thier payroll. A 0 revenue business has no additional funds to pay in salaries.
False choice. I don't care if the guy who changes my oil is making that. Why would I? He is getting it, and he is absolutely going to spend it. Which helps the economy. If he wasn't getting that, he would be back at his job at jiffy lube...... and they would have no customers. No one is driving. If we take away that unemployment benefit, all it will mean is that the person isn't paying their bills. You think that's a good thing?
