No, I'm not clueless. We have data from New York City. Comparing the deaths in New York City against the baseline indicates that deaths due to Covid-19 are UNDERSTATED, not overstated. Those deaths in excess of the baseline can't be due to causes already included in the baseline. So you're 'maybe it is, maybe it isn't nonsense' may work on the cult, but not on me. We have a large sample size, and that large sample size indicates that there may well be underreporting. There is nothing to suggest that deaths are overstated.

What Trump did to ramp up testing is short of miraculous. The regulations of the CDC, FDA and OSHA pretty much assured that we still wouldn't have a test by now.
