Default Hey - remember when Teflon would put the Influenza #'s next to COVID?

Those were good times. Back before 85,000 died thanks to the failed response Teflon voted for and coddled.
When I die, turn me into a brick and use me to cave in the skull of a fascist

Trump boot lickers used to trot out the number of 12,000 dead from the H1N1 virus.

For some weird reason, every time we blow by a mortality number they hung their hats on, they never mention it again.

85,000 dead even with shelter in place orders and social distancing in place seems like a remarkable number of deaths from a virus in just 60 days

In hindsight, we should have prepared decisively for this like South Korea did

It's a continuous stream of bullshit from you. There is a reasonable amount of evidence from autopsies that the virus took hold far earlier than realised previously even as far back as October or November! So the timescale is nearer five or six months much the same as the flu cycle. Not that the truth bothers a scumbag like you!!

How many flights did S. Korea have coming from China with the China virus infection on board? As many as we did???
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

This seems like a tepid attempt to absolve your Orange Hero from responsibility for a subpar response to this crisis.

I did a cursory internet search and one can travel from China to South Korea in multiple ways, plane, ferry, train.

These airlines fly from Beijing to Seoul:

China Southern Airlines, Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Air China

Airlines flying from Shanghai to Seoul include

China Southern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Korean Air, Spring Airlines, Asiana Airlines.

It also looks like there are dozens of flight routes daily from a range of Chinese cities to at least about half a dozen South Korean cities: Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Jeju, Yeosu among them.

You sir are incorrect! Teflon Don is not a punk he is a pussy. Funny how the idiot has shut up about wearing a mask. He is one of those jerks that give conservatism a bad name.

We are 6Xs as big. So even a righty can figure out a simple ratio.SK had their first case the same day we did. They handled it by taking it seriously and used social distancing and masking. They did a good job and contained it. We had Trump.

Even if the COVID numbers are "inflated" by 25%, that would mean the death toll stands at 64,500, which is higher than every single year of the flu going back ten years.

That was before he found out the numbers were being fudged, wasn't it?

Is that how much they're inflated by?

I'll understand if you don't know, of course.

They had far fewer carriers entering their country, that can make a difference. It was already spreading like stink on shit in NY/NJ before the first positive case was discovered here.
