The truth is people use religion to justify the wrong they do. There are overriding common beliefs, but on a personal level, you can make religion fit when you need it, The slave owners used Christianity to back slavery. The KKK prayed before killing and lynching blacks. They waved bibles in the faces of blacks matching for their rights, as they beat and killed them . The bible and religion have been so watered down by hypocrites that it is not Important any more. What did Christianity do when priests were molesting little boys. They covered it up. They paid off.

If the police come to your house with a duly authorized arrest warrant, you do not have the right to defend yourself by killing the police. They can also take away your property. If the government is about to execute your family member, after a fair trial, you cannot just start killing prison guards.

None of these rights are absolute. You do not have an absolute right to kill people who want to take you into custody.

This right to enforce laws is not just a right of the government, but also a benefit to the people. If we give you an absolute right to kill anyone who tries to enforce the law, we are taking away the right to live in a safe society from everyone else.
