Hopefully not, but that is certainly possible.

Another day, another 50,000 new cases.

That's 50,000 people screwing up a few weeks ago, allowing transmission of the disease to occur, not taking effective precautions.

    This is not good, people.

We have got to do better.

    The GOP must be ashamed that it didn't allow his impeachment to rid themselves of him;

Trump attempts to save himself in battleground states as Covid cases surge

With only 15 days left to reverse his dismal standing in the polls, and amid a coronavirus resurgence that could sink his pursuit of a second term, Donald Trump embarked on a tour of battleground states.

Yet despite trailing Democratic challenger Joe Biden by double digits in almost every national poll, all of which show a substantial deficit in approval over handling the pandemic, Trump is continuing to host large rallies that see few supporters wearing masks and little social distancing.

The number of Active Cases is now higher than it ever was. No peak yet.

    Screenshot_2020-10-19 United States Coronavirus 8,388,013 Cases and 224,732 Deaths - Worldometer.jpg

We flattened the curve, yes, (twice) but then we hoped to see it taper off, begin falling. That has not happened. Instead, it is on the rise once again.

That's bad news for people who want to be done with this.

    It's coming back on stronger.

    Where is the peak?

Where is our coordinated national response?

Apparently we need to elect a new president before we can see that.

It happened in England but the point is the young mother’s death gets credited to the March lockdown. She wasn’t near the end of her life in a nursing home. I think that is the main point to consider. There are stories like these anywhere there were lockdowns that affected healthcare delivery.

I was saying that was a bad idea when they did it. Now the WHO is on board with Daft 61 Omar, finally. Better late than never.

Masks will happen, eventually. Wait for it.

Before the world really knew very much about COVID-19.

I did not read that in the linked story. Where did you get that information? Are you privy to more information about this story than you are divulging? What is your source?

Far too broad a statement to have any meaning.

Link some of 'these stories.' Let's have a look at the details and learn the truth.

You're only concern appears to be the economy. And really, that's code for Trump support. If a Democratic president was facing a challenge by Trump, you would be carrying on about how bad the economy is. But since it is Trump who is fighting to save his job, you take the position that the economy is great. Since proper measures to deal with the pandemic adversely affect the economy, you resist taking them.

And the absurd thing is that the only way to rebuild the economy is to first effectively deal with the pandemic. But Trump supporters resist doing the one thing that would save Trump's chances, namely, making a great response to the pandemic that people believe is the correct approach. Thus, if Biden wins the election, Trump supporters can be blamed for his own demise by making the pandemic worse than it had to be.

    'ONLY' 46K new cases yesterday!

    Oh, wait a minute.

That was for India, with 1.4 Billion people.

We, here in the USA with 331 million people, had 57,327 new cases yesterday.

    Ouch.

Our response to the pandemic has been a tragedy.
