It was reported that 12% of Bernie primary voters in 2016 voted for Trump. On the surface it makes no sense to me either. How can you go from supporting a socialist to a Republican. But millions of Obama voters also voted for Trump so anything's possible. Since not everyone is a political junkie or partisan like most of us here I guess its possible folks view Sanders and Trump as outsiders/anti-establishment and that has an appeal to them.
Purely anecdotal but I have a buddy who was a huge Ron Paul fan in 2012 and Bernie supporter in 2016. Again on the surface I look at him thinking WTF? But he has a fvck the establishment mindset...
