Default News that liberals won't like

    ALL BETTER NOW

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) announced Tuesday that he has recovered from the Chinese coronavirus and has begun volunteering at a Kentucky hospital.

“I appreciate all the best wishes I have received. I have been retested and I am negative,” Paul tweeted. “I have started volunteering at a local hospital to assist those in my community who are in need of medical help, including Coronavirus patients. Together we will overcome this!”

Paul contracted the coronavirus in March, making him the first senator to be infected.

“Senator Rand Paul has tested positive for COVID-19. He is feeling fine and is in quarantine. He is asymptomatic and was tested out of an abundance of caution due to his extensive travel and events,” a spokesperson for the lawmaker said at the time. “He was not aware of any direct contact with any infected person.”

Paul, an eye surgeon, is volunteering at TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green while the Senate is on a break amid the coronavirus outbreak. Paul worked in emergency rooms early in his career as a physician, his office said.

The hospital’s CEO, Mike Sherrod, said Tuesday that the senator is “lifting the spirits of patients and our colleagues” by volunteering.

“We appreciate Senator Paul and his support in recognizing our healthcare workers and providers at TriStar Greenview for their unwavering response to the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said in a statement.

Exclamation President ponders punishing prolific People's Republic propagandists

President Donald Trump announced Tuesday at the White House that he would consider a hold on funding to the World Health Organization.

“They were wrong about a lot of things,” Trump said. “I’m not saying I’m going to do it. But we’re going to look at it,” the president said.

The president noted that the World Health Organization receives more from the United States than any other country, and must account for their failure to warn the world about the Chinese coronavirus outbreak.

“We want to look into the World Health Organization, because they really called it wrong,” Trump said. “They missed the call. They could have called it months earlier. They would have known, they should have known, and they probably did know.”

The president noted that the WHO criticized his travel ban from China that he set in late January.

“Such restrictions can have the effect of increasing fear and stigma, with little public health benefit,” WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said after President Trump banned travel from China.

The WHO frequently sided with Communist China.

“They seem to be very China-centric,” he said. “That’s a nice way of saying it, but they seem to be very China-centric, and they seem to err always on the side of China.”

Trump accused the globalist organization of also getting a lot wrong about the virus.

“It’s a great thing when it works, but when they call every shot wrong, it’s no good,” he said.

Default Report: US companies leaving Red China

The coronavirus COVID-19 that originated in China may be the last straw that finally has triggered American companies to exit China.

In the global manufacturing consulting firm Kearney’s seventh annual Reshoring Index released on Tuesday, co-author Patrick Van den Bossche writes: "Three decades ago, U.S. producers began manufacturing and sourcing in China for one reason: costs. The trade war brought a second dimension more fully into the equation―risk―as tariffs and the threat of disrupted China imports prompted companies to weigh surety of supply more fully alongside costs. COVID-19 brings a third dimension more fully into the mix*, and arguably to the fore: resilience―the ability to foresee and adapt to unforeseen systemic shocks.

As Kenneth Rapoza writes in Forbes, the Kearney report revealed a “dramatic reversal” because domestic U.S. manufacturing in 2019 outdid 14 Asian exporters tracked in the study.

Rapoza notes succinctly, “Manufacturing imports from China were the hardest hit.”

The Kearney report states that companies “will be compelled to go much further in rethinking their sourcing strategies, their entire supply chains.”

Senator Tom Cotton, who introduced a bill to protect the United States from dependence on Red China for pharmaceuticals, stated, “The Chinese Communist Party has threatened to cut off America’s access to vital drugs in the midst of a pandemic caused by its own failures. It’s time to pull America’s supply chains for life-saving medicine out of China and make the CCP pay for contributing to this global emergency.”

Cotton noted how dependent the United States is on the supply of pharmaceuticals from Communist China: "Today, most active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) used for drugs in the United States are made in China, including 95% of U.S. imports of ibuprofen, 70% of acetaminophen, and 40-45% of Penicillin. This vulnerable state of affairs is due to the Chinese Communist Party having spent a generation cornering this strategic market".

Rapoza concludes in Forbes, “China is the go-to source for ibuprofen, hazmat suits, rubber gloves, surgical masks, ventilators … companies will want to hedge their supply chain strategy by spreading their risks. That doesn’t mean a full abandonment of China. It does mean China’s days as the go-to manufacturing hub for the Western world are over.”

Default The conservative prime minister will recover from the Communist Chinese disease

    ANOTHER STABLE GENIUS

The prime minister is receiving standard oxygen treatment and breathing without any assistance, such as mechanical ventilation or non-invasive respiratory support.

The foreign secretary said he was standing in for the prime minister "whenever necessary", including leading the daily meetings of the coronavirus "war cabinet".

Default Homo Cuomo bends the knee to President Trump

Blue York Governor Homo Cuomo spoke positively of the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine — which has been touted by the White House — at his daily press briefing Monday, announcing that the state will request an additional supply from the federal government.

The DEMOCRAT governor said the drug has “anecdotally” been “effective” in treating COVID-19, explaining that state officials have been given permission to use it in combination with the antibiotic Zithromax in hospitals “at their discretion.”

Homo Cuomo said, "Anecdotally, you’ll get suggestions that it has been effective. There has been anecdotal evidence that it is promising; that’s why we’re going ahead,” noting that some patients are unable to take hydroxychloroquine due to their pre-existing conditions or medication regimens.

With Homo Cuomo’s go-ahead, Blue York will take in a greater supply of the drug from the federal government, allowing the sick state to lift a 14-day limit currently in place to ensure there is enough for those who need it to treat other health conditions.

Idiocy! No one is denying it helps some people, but it’s not a one size fits all! Doctors will use it on people who they think will benefit from the therapy, but it kills other people. This isn’t the miracle cure for everyone that people want it to be. As one Dr. said, we base our treatment on science, not whims.

Trump lied when he stated a guy went to the store and bought it for his wife, it isn’t an over the counter drug. You can’t get it without a prescription.

Default Propaganda pushers pissed upon prolifically

NBC (Nothing But Communists) faced a wave of accusations that it was doing the Red Chinese government's bidding by tweeting on Tuesday that it had not reported coronavirus deaths while the U.S. saw more than 1,000 overnight.

"U.S. reports 1,264 coronavirus deaths in over 24 hours. Meanwhile in China, where the pandemic broke out, not a single new coronavirus death was reported," the twerpy tweet read.

Skepticism about Communist China’s numbers has swirled, fueled by official communist efforts to quash bad news in the early days and a general distrust of the communist government. Long lines of Chinese people waiting to collect the ashes of loved ones at funeral homes revived the debate.

"NBC bought it. Hook, line and sinker. Well done China. Well done," former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer tweeted.

"NBC goes all-in on communist propaganda," conservative commentator Dan Bongino said.

The controversy came after a tense exchange in which MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle pressed Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., on his criticism of journalists using China's numbers.

"Some in our media can’t contain their glee & delight in reporting that the U.S. has more #CoronaVirus cases than #China," Rubio tweeted. "Beyond being grotesque, its bad journalism We have NO IDEA how many cases China really has but without any doubt its significantly more than why they admit to."

Ruhle seemed incredulous when she asked Rubio about this tweet. “I need to ask you this, because I’m a journalist. We’re not just some personalities. You called out journalism. And I need to understand why on earth you did this," she said.

Rubio previously tweeted a series of posts that showed media figures mocking the administration and America's interest in being "Number 1." He also indicated to Ruhle that journalists were threatening U.S. national security by repeating Red Chinese "propaganda."

A cover-up by Red China’s ruling Communist Party concealed the extent of the coronavirus outbreak in its country, under-reporting both total cases and fatalities from the disease.

Default Leftists are using the pandemic to endorse European health care systems

    Unfortunately- as usual, the facts tell a different story;

    Stats for Europe:

    Confirmed cases: ~680,000

    Deaths: ~53,500

    Death rate: 7.8%

    Stats for the United States:

    Confirmed cases: ~368,000

    Deaths: ~11,000

    Death rate: 3.0%

Comparing the US to Europe, the stats show that:

    • European nations have more infections in total than the US
    • European nations have more infections relative to population size than the US does
    • European nations have several times more deaths in total due to the virus than the US does
    • European nations have an average death RATE several times higher than that of the US
    • Deaths in Europe relative to total population are higher than in the US

Let's compare the US to Europe in COVID-19 deaths per 1 million population.

    Europe: 72/1,000,000

    United States: 32/1,000,000

(It should be noted that many of the countries in Europe are not reporting accurate statistics, so this disparity is undoubtedly much higher. It's also true that the CDC has inflated the US death rate to make it appear that America is suffering much worse figures than are actually due to the Chinese disease.)

Based on the current statistics, almost every single national health care system, in the European Union and Europe as a whole is objectively performing worse than the US.

The average infections, deaths relative to infection, death rate, and death per 1 million population are much worse overall in Europe than in the US.

Even countries that are generally lauded for their health care systems, such as France and Shitaly, are performing worse than the US.

Default The EU is in flames

The European Union’s chief scientist has resigned, stating he is no longer a believer in the European Union project following the bloc’s failures to address the coronavirus crisis.

Prof. Mauro Ferrari announced his resignation as it became increasingly clear the European Union response had been lacking.

Prof. Ferrari had only started his EU stint in January, and was due to serve a four year term.

The Financial Times reported Ferrari’s words Tuesday afternoon: “I have been extremely disappointed by the European response to Covid-19… I arrived at the ERC a fervent supporter of the EU [but] the Covid-19 crisis completely changed my views, though the ideals of international collaboration I continue to support with enthusiasm.”

    According to the FT:

The ERC, set up in 2007 to fund Europe’s best scientists, has become one of the world’s most prestigious funding agencies with a budget of around €2bn a year. Prof Ferrari, an Italian-American pioneer of nanomedicine, said his rift with the European Commission started in early March “as it became evident that the pandemic would be a tragedy of possibly unprecedented proportions”.

He said he proposed then to set up a special ERC program to combat Covid-19.

“I thought that at a time like this, the very best scientists in the world should be provided with resources and opportunities to fight the pandemic, with new drugs, new vaccines, new diagnostic tools, new behavioural dynamic approaches based on science, to replace the oft-improvised intuitions of political leaders,” he said.

But the ERC Scientific Council, its governing body, unanimously rejected the idea, he said, on the grounds that its remit allows it only to fund “bottom-up” research proposed by scientists, rather than larger “top-down” programmes with objectives set by EU leaders.

“I argued that this was not the time for scientific governance to worry excessively about the subtleties of the distinctions between bottom-up versus top-down research,” said Prof Ferrari, who spent much of his career as a prominent cancer researcher in the US.
