Default Why are leftists so anti chloroquine?

Now I will state that I don't know if it works or doesn't. I have seen some anecdotal evidence that it does. Physicians on the front lines swear by it.

From a mechanism of action standpoint it doesn't make sense, but there are always unknown mechanisms of action

Also, the anecdotal evidence could be flawed in that the patients could have gotten better without it.

But, when we are in such unprecedented times, why not try things if it means patients might get better?

It is almost as if leftists want things to get worse. That couldn't be could it?

The more deaths the better for the Democrats hitting Trump about his handling of the pandemic during the campaign.

They want the economy to tank so that the senile pedophile Sleep Joe has a chance in November.

    Mcslobber just confessed.

Don't get me wrong, I count myself as one who is skeptical of it as a cure, however that doesn't negate people trying it

For the record its use in SLE is off label as well. There are not randomized controlled clinical trials supporting its use. It only has an FDA approved indication for malaria

    Indeed. DEMOCRATS are hypocrites, though.

    DEMOCRAT

On March 23, 2020 Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak signed a State of Emergency Declaration barring Nevada's doctors from prescribing the anti-malaria drugs chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine for use against COVID-19.

According to Concordia Pharmaceuticals Inc, Nevada's Department of Corrections ordered a large quantity of their anti-malaria Hydroxychloroquine drug under the name Plaquenli.

Nevada's prisons have reported no confirmed cases of prisoners infected with the COVID 19 virus to date.

The Nevada Board of Pharmacies and the governor claimed the order barring doctors from prescribing the drug was to "stop hoarding".

Gov. Sisolak refused to reverse his order even after the FDA issued an emergency order earlier this week approving the drug for use against COVID 19.

I just noticed POLITICO has a conspiracy theory up. packed full of inaccuracies/slanted reporting as well

How a chance Twitter thread launched Trump’s favorite coronavirus drug
    https://www.politico.com/news/2020/0...us-drug-170557
Yet there has been no scientific consensus that hydroxychloroquine is effective against the coronavirus — far from it. The Food and Drug Administration has not approved the drug for that purpose, and initial small studies from China and France had defects that make it impossible to draw firm conclusions. Meanwhile, Trump’s promotional monologues have led to shortages for people who rely on hydroxychloroquine for other conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.-

*results are coming in every day that back up this treatment* POLITICO is way off base

Screw the FDA. I'll rely on doctors on the front line.

Except that the FDA has issued an emergency approval for its use in treating Chinese disease.

The Food and Drug Administration, which has approved hydroxychloroquine as a treatment for malaria and lupus, issued an emergency order late last month allowing doctors to administer it to coronavirus patients if they saw fit.

Good news to a lefty is like garlic to Dracula.
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.
