No, any virus that misses the turn and ends up in the stomach is good as dead lol.

Not that I’d recommend licking masks.

Yes I know stomach acid kills many germs, but yeah, I wouldn't recommend licking a face mask used to protect against coronavirus. Nor would I recommend drinking fish tank cleaner. Nor would I recommend eating a barbell, if you feel like you need an iron supplement.

Got it up to about 2.5 weeks. Could go further, but the fresh stuff is all gone by then. Nice to see paper products returning to shelves. The water fountain in the store looked very clean and unused...

If a store really had their stuff together they would be handing out masks and gloves at the entrance. Most people are social distancing but then you always get that one person who blows it all off and insists on getting too close. I guess there is a Darwin winner in every crowd.

I shop at a small store call The Tropical (part of a chain) that seems mostly to be run and staffed by Latinos. The store is convenient…and they carry what I need. They have been fully manned during the pandemic.

Went there yesterday for the weekly shopping…and was greeted at the entrance by a guy with a spray bottle of hand sanitizer. He sprayed my hands and then asked me to put on two of those plastic bags used for produce. He had a roll of them…and everyone entering the store was asked to use them…gloves or not.

Inside, they had used tape to indicate a direction of flow with arrows…and every six feet there was a marker so that you could keep your distance.

I consider that to be a terrific move on the owner’s part. They were doing more than just the minimum.

Dam those innovative capitalist American entrepreneurs.

    DNR somewhere, LOL

Yeah, what was that old Twain quote about ... "when I was a young man of 14 and I knew everything. "

I’ve lost all sense of time. Every day is the like the one before. No work, no church, no gym. Grass is cut. If I didn’t have outside hobbies I’d be insane by now. I don’t even want to imagine what it’s like being confined to some cubicle in NYC.

This can’t be healthy but here we are.

I won’t bother with WV numbers because they aren’t significant. I only look at them every other day. They did move our peak up to mid-April but they don’t expect a healthcare crisis. So I’m having what will very likely be the longest paid vacation of my career. But I fully expect to be working my ass off, for months, when the dam breaks and they lift the ban on elective surgeries.

Sounds smart. The store I went to had somebody to give you a freshly wiped cart on the way in, and the floors were marked at 6' intervals for check out. I wore mask and gloves. Did the outside of the gloves with sanitizer upon getting in the car, then carefully removed each item from the shopping bags, wiped the packaging with an alcohol wipe and set it into a clean cooler one by one, until the cooler was full, then resanitized the gloves and carried the stuff inside. The process repeated until everything was inside. Then all the bags were collected and hung in the far side of the garage to be left untouched for a few weeks. After which time they will become trash bags.
