Default U.S. wasted no time before preparing for virus pandemic

Numerous news outlets noted last Wednesday that COVID-19 has now killed more Americans than the 9/11 attacks.

Very little commentary, however, was devoted to the difference between the DEMOCRAT response to the current crisis compared to their reaction to that national emergency.

Now, for the DEMOCRATS, the deaths of more Americans and the destruction of our national economy no longer “transcend” political considerations or partisanship.

Last Sunday morning, for example, the current DEMOCRAT Speaker of the House took to the talking-head circuit to make the bizarre claim that President Trump’s management of the coronavirus pandemic is comparable to the negligence of the Roman Emperor Nero.

Those of us who have followed the daily press briefings of the Coronavirus Task Force know that Pelosi’s accusation is false.

A common myth promulgated by Pelosi and other DEMOCRATS involves the alleged failure of the Trump administration to replenish the Strategic National Stockpile.

Connecticut’s DEMOCRAT governor, Ned Lamont, repeated this canard Tuesday: “It was disturbing today to find out that the national strategic stockpile is now empty.”

However, the Obama administration depleted the stockpile: "The H1N1 influenza pandemic of 2009 triggered the largest deployment in U.S. history of the Strategic National Stockpile … The stockpile distributed 85 million N95 respirators…. [T]he stockpile’s reserves were not significantly restored after the 2009 pandemic, in the view of industry and public health experts".

The voters know that our president is sacrificing his strongest claim to a second term — the economy — for the good of the American people.

Jan. 17: The CDC and the Department of Homeland Security announced that US citizens returning from countries known to be sources of infection countries were being rerouted to specific airports, where they would be screened and isolated.

That same day, Rod Rosenstein's sister, Dr. Nancy Messonnier, the director of the CDC's National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases stated that, “based on current information, the risk from 2019-nCoV to the American public is currently deemed to be low.”

Jan. 20: Japan, South Korea, and Thailand reported their first cases of the novel coronavirus.

Jan. 21: The first case of coronavirus in the United States was reported. The infected patient was identified as a man who had traveled to the US from Wuhan, China. President Trump referred to this patient the next day, January 22.

Jan. 24: The CDC confirmed the second U.S. case of coronavirus, adding again that “based on what we know right now, the immediate risk to America remains low.”

Jan. 28: The WHO published a statement about the coronavirus, with a photograph and headline saying: “WHO, China leaders discuss next steps in battle against coronavirus outbreak.” According to the release, “The WHO delegation highly appreciated the actions China has implemented in response to the outbreak, its speed in identifying the virus and openness to sharing information with WHO and other countries.”

The same day, President Trump expanded U.S. airport screenings to identify travelers showing symptoms and instituted mandatory quarantines.

On Jan. 30, the WHO declared a global health emergency of international concern.

On Jan. 30, the CDC confirmed publicly for the first time the person-to-person spread of Wuhan virus and applauded WHO’s decision.

That same day, the president created the White House Coronavirus Task Force to coordinate efforts regarding this new disease.

The next day, Jan. 31, the president declared coronavirus a U.S. public health emergency and issued a ban on travel between the United States and China.

On that same day, the Senate voted on the production of additional documents in the impeachment trial of President Trump. Campaigning in Iowa that day, DEMOCRAT Pedo Joe Biden criticized President Trump’s China travel ban, saying, “This is no time for Donald Trump’s record of hysteria and xenophobia.”

Feb. 4: The White House directed the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to step up coronavirus diagnostic testing procedures.

Feb. 5: Rod Rosenstein's sister, Dr. Nancy Messonnier, issued a public statement saying, “While we continue to believe the immediate risk of 2019nCoV exposure to the general public is low, CDC is undertaking measures to help keep that risk low.”

Feb. 18: Rod Rosenstein's sister, Dr. Nancy Messonnier, reaffirmed that the “risk to Americans from coronavirus is low.

Feb. 20: The Trump administration raised travel warnings to their highest level for Japan and South Korea.

Feb. 26: The first case of suspected local transmission in the United States was announced by Rod Rosenstein's sister, Dr. Nancy Messonnier, of the CDC.

That same day, President Trump named Vice President Pence to lead the Coronavirus Task Force. The next day, Feb. 27, Pence named Dr. Deborah Birx to serve as the White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator.

Feb. 29: The first death from the coronavirus was recorded in the United States.

On that date, President Trump halted travel with Iran.

March 11: The WHO declared coronavirus a worldwide pandemic.

The next day, on March 12, President Trump imposed travel restrictions on Europe and other international hotspots. Then, on March 13, President Trump declared a national emergency.

The single most important step taken by President Trump was his closing of U.S. travel with China, which happened on Jan. 31.

It is impossible to overestimate the number of American lives saved by that momentous decision by President Trump on January 31 which DEMOCRATS and their media surrogates decried as "racist and xenophobic".

I'M SMART AND I WANT RESPECT

For weeks now, DEMOCRATS and their anti-Trump media have been spreading the false story that President Trump dissolved the White House pandemic office in 2018.

This false claim helped perpetuate another falsehood: that the Trump administration was not only ill-prepared for the coronavirus outbreak, but also slow to respond to it.

What do the people who are outraged that Trump dissolved the pandemic office in 2018 (even though he didn’t) have to say about this, which was admitted by the ultra-liberal Washington Post?

After Obama became president in 2009, he eliminated the White House Health and Security Office, which worked on international health issues.

In fact, there was no dedicated anti-pandemic unit until one was created in the final months of the scandal-plagued Obama-Biden administration--seven years after the H1N1 pandemic started, and two years after the Ebola epidemic.

    B. Hussein Obama’s response to the H1N1 pandemic was slow and plagued by vaccine shortages.

His response to the 2014 Ebola outbreak was also plagued with problems--which apparently convinced the buffoonish bumbler to re-open the office two years later.

Emmanuel Macron: closing borders is a bad decision, a "nationalist retreat"

French President Emmanuel Macron warned against hastily closing borders, which would amount to a "nationalist retreat".

Warning of the danger of “nationalist isolation,” he said: “This virus has no passport. We must unify our forces, coordinate our responses and cooperate. European coordination is essential, and I will ensure it goes forward.”

French President Emmanuel Macron claimed on March 10 that Slovenia and Austria made "bad decisions" by severely restricting travel with Italy, which also neighbors France.

"I sincerely believe that these are bad decisions," Macron remarked after he partook in crisis talks about the coronavirus with other EU leaders during a video conference.

Just a week later, France closed its border to every nation in Europe.

    WHO'S TIGHT WITH THE CHICOMS?

EC president Ursula von der Leyen: Travel bans are ineffective

European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen said on March 13 that "general travel bans are not seen as being the most effective by the World Health Organization" after voicing her opposition to countries closing their borders.

She made the remarks in response to the Czech Republic implementing an entry ban on foreigners and an exit ban on all Czechs on March 9 at the same time other EU nations, including Hungary, Austria, and Slovenia, all reintroduced border checks.

The countries dropped passport-free travel in Europe's Schengen zone and focused their checks on travelers from Shitaly.

The EU issued a travel ban less than a week after von der Leyen chastised the Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, and Slovenia for taking action to close their borders.

WHO IS TIGHT WITH THE CHICOMS!

WHO chief urges countries not to close borders to China

The World Health Organization (WHO) pursued its dedication to open borders right until the end, with its head calling for countries to keep their borders open to China, the place where the coronavirus spread from.

"There is no reason for measures that unnecessarily interfere with international travel and trade. We call on all countries to implement decisions that are evidence-based and consistent. WHO stands ready to provide advice to any country that is considering which measures to take,” said WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in February.

Ghebreyesus also called for borders to stay open in a statement that put political correctness before public health.

“We reiterate our call to all countries not to impose restrictions that unnecessarily interfere with international travel and trade. Such restrictions can have the effect of increasing fear and stigma, with little public health benefit,” Ghebreyesus said to the UN’s executive board in Geneva.

The WHO has long argued that closing borders to a country during an outbreak increases "stigma" towards that country and "even whole ethnic groups".

GERMAN HILLARY IS TIGHT WITH THE CHICOMS

Angela Merkel German Hillary said that Germany is against closing borders before she closed the borders

During Chancellor Angela Merkel's German Hillary's first public address about the Chinese virus outbreak, she said that border closures would not be "appropriate" to prevent the spread of the virus.

She said, “We in Germany, in any case, are of the opinion that border closures are not an appropriate response to the challenge. This is a test for our solidarity, our common sense and care for each other. And I hope we pass the test," she said, adding that she ruled out following Austria's lead in banning visitors from Shitaly.

On March 18, Germany closed its borders to help slow the spread of the virus in the country and reduce the number of new outbreaks.
