pure self imposed ignorance is what I worry about. da kids don't think for themselves.
they regurgitate socialist crap without even thinking how socialism destroys risk taking.
Would anyone run a small business if they were more heavily taxed? They are already highly taxed and regulated.
More likely they'd close up shop and go on those "more generous food stamps" as our unthoughful SbS suggests

I lived in Andalusia, Sevilla, for three years. Los Remedios is the best location or it was when I lived there.
Buena gente (good people) and the language is easy to learn.
Hot in the summer months but dry heat, mild winters.
I still have friends there that I converse with via amateur radio.
You would probably like Portugal too.

Been to Spain and Portugal several times, was thinking about somewhere like Almeria, Alicante or Malaga. Not been to Seville though, must check it out! It's hot as fuck now here in Thailand, the three months up to the rainy season are not pleasant during the day better at night.

All great choices.
I am partial to Andalusia. The north of Spain is not as scenic and the people not as congenial.
If you decide to live in Spain, I don’t think that you can make a bad choice. The country is enchanted.
We had a home in Costa Rica for several years. Very low cost of living and a fisherman’s paradise. Awesome scenery.
We would still be there but the esposa (a Latina) wanted to be near our new grandchildren. I agreed with her.
