Yep. Cases going down. Daily new cases? Minimal. Deaths? 186 at 1/7 our population. That's 1300 deaths per 350,000,000. Versus our 10,000.

Math isn't your strong suit, idiot.

Looks like they're in for Hell v2.0:

"ON ANY DIGITAL dashboard tracking the spread of Covid-19, on any graphic comparing country-by-country case curves or death tolls, they were the champs. Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea—leaders there saw what was headed their way from China in the early days of the new coronavirus, before it became a pandemic. They remembered what happened two decades ago with SARS: People died, economies suffered. So they locked down their immigration hardest and soonest, deployed public health workers to follow up contacts of cases, got their hospitals shored up, and started publishing clear and consistent information and data. They flattened their curves before the rest of the world understood there would be curves to flatten. But in recent weeks, those curves have taken another chilling turn. The numbers of new cases in these places are creeping upward."

Yeah, people let their guards down pretty quickly. The 1918 flu disappeared from discussion very rapidly. Even today, talking with people my age (65), they have no recollection of the huge polio scare in the 50s. Didn't even know it happened. It looks like these current problems are imported by tourists, however. Easy fix there.

Even when we get this one under control now, it looks like we'll have a second, maybe worse, wave.

Tourists, and stranded nationals returning home.

    Agree.

I'm just a bit older than you but I recall the polio epidemic. Mostly that parents were scared, and my brothers carping because they couldn't go to the public swimming pool in Dayton, but also the photos of kids in iron lungs. There were a handful of kids that I went to school with who had had it. The worst was a girl who had leg braces and walked with canes.

    Democrats attack the Black man.

    Some things never change.
"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man."
    — Joe Biden on Obama.

Socialism is just the modern word for monarchy.

D.C. has become a Guild System with an hierarchy and line of accession much like the Royal Court or priestly classes.

Private citizens are perfectly able of doing a better job without "apprenticing".

One constant. The same incompetent clown is at the helm for both.
Do you think shutting the whole world down and potentially hamstringing the world economies is a good price to pay for saving a few thousand elderly people with other life threatening illnesses? Of course you don't care as you work for the government and your job is safe.
