Default COVID projection numbers going down in WV

State Coronavirus Czar Dr. Clay Marsh said the numbers are still good and it’s showing up in the latest modeling.

“Right now we’re projected to have our surge May 2 and we’re projected to lose 500 or so West Virginians,” Marsh said. “That number continues to go down. The projection for the number of ICU beds that we need has gone down.”

Note he said that both projections are trending *down*.

    Should we close our borders?

Projections Show COVID-19’s Peak In West Virginia Is A Month Away. Here’s What That Could Look Like

Are you going to scurry off if the models are a big fail?

Well, it was a serious question lol.

Assuming the projections turn out right and bad things are happening in OH, PA and etc, the WV governor should close the border to everything but essential traffic. When these numbers get out people are going to be coming here—if they haven’t already.

It’s not even a full days drive to NYC.

It’s a tough call, one that I am glad I don’t have to make.

The economy vs. the Chinese virus. The health of human beings vs. the health of the economy...which impacts the health of human beings.

I had no idea that NYC was a one day drive.

When my son lived in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, he would often take bike rides to W.V. to relieve work stress (lead Mechanical Engineer).

He said he would ride for hours in the scenic beauty of that state. It’s on my bucket list.

We like to keep it a secret lol.

Plenty of bike time in my future because my circumstances allowed me to step aside. Last week they started cutting hours. I saw where it was headed and I didn’t want to be taking shifts away from young mothers or whatever—so told my boss I would stand by on an ‘as needed basis’ through this month.

There are lot of unemployed/under employed healthcare workers in the country right now. And very soon, there are going to be a lot of struggling hospitals.

But yeah, today I think I’ll indulge my fishing habit and forget about all things virus related. Might as well take advantage of it.

There are a number of things to consider. Does anyone know what's going on in the Amish communities? No one seems to know here in PA.

WV. is also very close to Baltimore and DC. I have a friend who has a small business in WV. and his wife works in DC. It is definitely nice area down there.
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

Well done, people looking out for people.

I haven’t wet a line since last summer.

Dogwoods blooming here means large mouth bass hitting top water lures.

Middle 70’s here, after golf, lake is nearby.

For a hillbilly state WV is close to a lot of urban areas.

Earlier in the week Jim Justice [governor] closed all the camp grounds because out of staters were pulling their RV’s down here/over here from out of state and ‘camping’ to get away from wherever they came from.

I haven’t seen any news about the Amish community. They are survivors and will be alright, hopefully.

When my son was living in Virginia, we visited and my son and I planned a bike ride to W.V. But we ran out of time before we had to return to Georgia. The fact that my wife and daughter said that they would kill me if I got on a bike may have had something to do with it too. Lol

    Sweet.

I stay away from golf lol. Nice today here too. Probably head up Elk River with my bro and nephew and try for some smallies.

Or more like whatever is biting lol.

The smallies put up a grand battle. We have far more largemouths here in Ga.

Enjoy. Maybe baseball will return...one day.
