So now on top of all the other shit they gotta deal w/ the employees @ target have to play grocery police.

Send a state trooper to watch & inquire why ppl are making these "suspicious" purchases.......

Is chewing gum essential?? Will a note from the Dentist suffice officer??

"No sir, these batteries are for a flashlight, not a dildo, thanks for asking though"..

"No sir, we are not headed to the beach here in Vermont, since we have no toilet paper the kids are showering more often, & so we are out of towels"...

"Yes sir, this beer is essential, I have four kids @ home cooped up in the house, you think I need more"??

It’s to protect their employees, and their shoppers. People aren’t smart, they will come into the store to browse. This is not the idea right now. Grocery shopping should be quick and essential.

I fully understand that.. Again, if the product is there the employee is forced to play grocery cop & tell them they can't buy it........

Lottery tickets, agreed, candy, some people would disagree. Abruptly cutting millions of people off candy might cause problems of its own.

They most likely will rope off the non essential goods. It could be interesting.

Yes, although I would prefer they let it sell out & can't re-order..... I don't see a big run on electronics & there prob not much inventory..

Just a mess....... Here whatever is in the store is for sale, including fresh coffee.. The starbucks in the same parking lot was forced to close..
