I've been doing this Internet forum stuff for over two decades...and have had lots and lots of interesting discussions...none of which have occurred with you.

So...as I said, if you do not want to read what I write...put on ignore...or STFU.

    Been prescient?

As I said somewhere else, thousands of Chinese immigrants were coming into the country from Wuhan well before the first positive COVID test in January. As far back as November. Who knows how many of them were asymptomatic carriers.

    We were screwed. By China.

If you feel the way you seem to, Dukkha...you should ignore my posts entirely. There is an IGNORE feature...you should use it if you think my comments are unworthy.

If you don't...tough. I'll post what I want to post.

Do you really think Hillary would be doing a better job? I sure as hell don't.

Correct, but it takes 1.5 years for the OMB to prepare the budget and Congress does not really have the time to do much but add or subtract a little here and there. They can't even get a budget passed by October. And, since 70% is fixed Congress (or the president) has control over a relatively small part of the budget. Also, Congress knows the president will not sign a budget that contains major changes he doesn't like. It has been that way since Congress gave the president the authority to prepare and submit the budget in 1947(?).

I do because she would not have disbanded and defunded the agencies responsible for handling pandemics.

True but none of that negates my point nor makes Trump completely or even mostly responsible for the budget. The problem is and always has been Congress. The fact they are dysfunctional doesn't change that fact. The problem isn't Trump, but a dysfunctional Congress elected by a divided people.

That's not reality. That's not the way it works now or since George Washington.

This whole business is exclusively China’s fault.

They could have contained the outbreak and they didn’t. To compound matters, they tried to cover it up.

    Anything else is partisan politics.

Right. The masks was screwed up by the CDC who refused the WHO design (if I got that right)

We didn't understand it was a pandemic, because we didn't know it was so infectious because the stinkin' lousy Chinks lied about that.

That was letting the Genie out of the bottle -even Trumps early travel freeze wasn't enough,
as the high infectious & un- treatible (at the that time) virus crossed the globe
