Automation is even worse & quicker.

While automation might increase productivity.

It will cause huge gaps in unemployment & thus a unhealthy economy.

That is unless we work hard to combat it.
Maybe by taxing robots or outlawing how much automation can be done to soften the blow.

I am bemused about these automation predictions. Yet with all our automation we have created MILLIONS of jobs and significantly increased our productivity and quality of life.

You don't protect the less fortunate by turning them into wards of the State. You help them by ensuring there are plenty of good paying jobs they can find so that they can pay their own way.

This is the single greatest fallacy of socialism; that Government will protect us. This is how our leftist educational establishment is failing our children as well. They aren't teaching historic facts; they are indoctrinating.

Much of our taxes & gov expenses go towards the elderly's retirement, veterans, the disabled & schooling for children.

Actually under LBJ poverty declined by a lot due his social programs.

LBJ is also the top economic GDP producer since FDR.

A lot of people can be in high income jobs and very miserable & thus underperform or even get fired or quit.

My Polish American father was a draftsman & hated it.

So he became a teacher with his Masters degree in teaching & history.

He did okay. Making over 90K a year back in the 90s.
