But, it depends on the stereotype too.
Some stereotypes are wrong like Dumb Polak or cheap Jews.

Stereotypes are which knowledge are built on.

We stereotype that a Bear is more likely to attack us than a Cardinal.

    Is that stereotype ignorant?

What about the stereotype of Covid-19 being a killer?
    Even though more survive it?

    Is that stereotype ignorant?
Very amusing, defending stereotyping. If those examples work then every grouping should always hold, eh?

If only the world were so simple.

Actually it would be kind of boring.

It is the intricateness of this world which makes it interesting.

    Incorrect use of stereotyping:

"Birds all have feathers, so all birds are alike in every way."

"Boomers elected DT, so all boomers are bad."

The truth is DT needed every vote he got for is razor thin victory, and that includes the votes he got from younger people. He would not have won without them, so it could be said they were responsible for him getting elected. But that's not really accurate. And neither is your thing about boomers. You're really blaming an entire group for what no more than 55% of them did. And really, that was just the 55% of the 60% of registered voters. 40% of registered voters did not vote, and many more of voting age never even bothered to register. So your blaming really amounts to a pretty big exaggeration.

What about the young supporters of the prez? Look carefully at the crowd in one of his rallies. There are a lot of young people there. Your boomer reference ignores that reality.

Many Liberals & Leftists often use generalizations & stereotypes too.

    Including.
    All Nazis are bad.
    All Trump supporters are ignorant.

I see you lost my argument.
    Generalizations form knowledge.

Don't mix acids & bases is a generalization.

CO2 causing Climate change is a generalization.

Sugar Maples growing in different habits than Saw Palmetos is a generalization.

The migration patterns of birds are a generalization.

Saying African Americans have higher poverty rates is a generalization.

Saying Koko the Gorilla is smarter than other Animals is a generalization.

Saying Eels spawn in the Sea of Sargasso is a generalization.

Saying Praying Mantis Females eat their Male mates is a generalization.

Saying Hitler killed Jews is a generalization.

I never said all Boomers are bad.

However, large segments of the Boomer generation caused a lot of the current damages to society.

Extreme Individualism is about as stupid, weak & meek philosophy as can be.

An extreme Individualist argument would be to treat invading armies as just individuals.

Oh no the Golden Horde, Nazis, Soviets or British colonists who invade your nation shall not be treated as a threat.
    But
    As just individuals.

It's not much better when Individualists say things like Illegals cause no damage.
    Or
That you are ignorant unless you think you are just as safe in a Black neighborhood as a White one.

Saying Art is therapeutic is a stereotype & generalization.

    That's not always true.

    Sometimes Art can be mania.
Jackson Pollock went nuts with his art.

Also perfectionism in art can make for frustration.
Even anger or hatred towards their painting ability.

    However.
On the whole Art is therapeutic.

Especially when the user is calm & using mindfulness or flow.

    Not always the case.

There are always going to be outliers. The younger people who support Trump are the outliers, while the Boomers who support Trump are the norm among Boomers.

There's a common saying that everything we feared would happen under Socialism or Communism is now happening under Capitalism. This just keeps getting proven true, now with breadlines.

Once upon a time during the golden age of mankind Over the Hills and Far Away mankind's every word and thought was a rejoicing prayer, life was good and easy penultimately happy and fulfilling...

    now there is anti-prayer...

and you know who you anti-prayers are.

I think when people stop believing the mainstream news, call it fake news, and start getting their news from obscure slanted websites, that is being extremist.

IOW, most of the president's supporters are extremists.

Those all sound like excellent activities. Yes, I have my garden going. I like eating things I grew. And that has a new importance with Covid.

Well, I suppose that's true. I guess it all depends on how someone uses art and other things.
