Default Pelosi proposes tax cut for the rich to stimulate economy

This just in: Everything Democrats spent decades telling us about who represents "the rich" in this country was a lie. And apparently Democrats finally accept the fact that trickle-down economics works.

"Democrats routinely demonize the Republican Party as wanting to give big corporations and wealthy Americans a tax break, arguing that conservative economic plans hurt middle and lower income Americans. Now, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) wants to give higher-earning Americans tax relief in the next coronavirus stimulus package. In an interview with the New York Times, Pelosi suggested reversing a $10,000 cap on state and local tax deductions — known as SALT — included in the 2017 Republican tax reform bill."

Nancy Pelosi gets called out after proposing tax benefit that would help only wealthy Americans

A $100,000 household income is anything but wealthy. Especially in Pelosi’s area or New York.

    "the Blaze," for real?

And by the way, SALT doesn't apply just to rich people, it also helps out the middle class guy who is carrying a mortgage, in fact, those were the people hurt the most by Trump's tax cut, notice how nobody in the GOP wants to bring that fiasco up now

Right or left, they are incorrect, sure it applies to rich and poor, but for the middle class homeowner with a mortgage, especially the guy with a couple of kids, SALT was a big help on his Federal Tax. It also provided the State the ability to increase tax proportionately on the rich meaning more revenue for programs that benefited all income levels

The current cap on SALT deductions doesn't hit the middle class home owner making $75K/yr and owns a home worth $300K. Removing the cap helps people with money on the coasts.

Sure it does, it removes the local and state deduction, which along with the mortgage interest deduction, usually allowed that middle class homeowner to itemize deductions and benefit greater

The Democrats proposed this on the floor of the House several months ago.
