Just curious, does anyone know what Woodrow Wilson (D) do to stop the Spanish Flu?

Were all of the deaths from the Spanish Flu Woodrow Wilson's (D) fault?

Limited thread bans so no excuses
did you know jill biden wrote a book and dedicated to edith wilson? woodrow wilson stroked out in the last couple years of his presidency and the first lady pretty much ran the show. Makes you think. Of all people she could have dedicated her book to....

He covered it up, as did all the combatant nations in WWI, because they were afraid that publicizing it would hurt wartime morale.

Spain was neutral, so their newspapers broke the story because they had no reason to censor the news.

That's why it's called the "Spanish Flu".

Spain was neutral during World War I and unlike its European neighbors, it didn’t impose wartime censorship on its press. In France, England and the United States, newspapers weren’t allowed to report on anything that could harm the war effort, including news that a crippling virus was sweeping through troops. Since Spanish journalists were some of the only ones reporting on a widespread flu outbreak in the spring of 1918, the pandemic became known as the “Spanish flu.”

Stupid cunt, I’m referring to the field of epidemiology. We had almost no scientific knowledge of viruses 100 years ago. For you to try to equate the two only demonstrates your desperate ignorance.

But you do that routinely anyway.

    Fucking clown

I'd say he left it up to the medical community, and I'd guess heir miscalculations were probably to blame afterwards, although the excitement of the war ending was probably center to most Americans

Difference is medicine/science has come a long way since then, we don't bleed people anymore, and to downplay their input in fear of losing politically results in responsibility
He had a stroke at one point, but, I don't think that happened until after he returned from Paris.

Wilson believed in eugenics, he probably viewed the flu as a purifying agent. The weak and the poor removed, natural selection. Horrible man, horrible President.

Some believe it happened while he was at Versailles, but the usual narrative is that he wore himself out campaigning when he returned to get the Treaty approved in the US.

He actually caught the flu, but you are correct, many of the time were social Darwinists, survival of the fittest, and Wilson has one of those mixed reviews in history, and idealist, yet a racist

And Lincoln (R) was a social liberal who freed the black man. Does that anger you?

He (guvment) was mostly silent it seems & who knows what he was thinking as he sent the floating coffins full of sick soldiers to France~spreading it around the world..
"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."
